F BRYCH - Valencia v Juventus

Firstly, I don't have access to BT sport but looking at the text comments and opinions, and a very quickly put up video on you tube, it appears Ronaldo has been binned on 29 mins for violent conduct. Difficult to make out what exactly happened but it looks like the defender made a meal of it.

Two penalties followed for Juventus after that.

What an excellent spot by AAR Marco Fritz!!! Just WOW!

Please find all the interesting videos below:

1) RC Cristiano Ronaldo

2) Penalty, kick in the face

3) Penalty, holding

4) Penalty appeal, holding

5) Penalty appeal, trailing leg tackle (replay of handball incident included)

6) Penalty, reckless use of arm

I’m sorry but if that’s VC then it’s time to give up on football. Yes Ronaldo has been lucky in the past, but that was just ridiculous.
No malice no intent no violence. He just grabs him by the hair. Absolutely terrible from the aar.

Herr brych with his typical unfusy style both juve penalties were correct but not sure about the Valencia one.
In contrast to the penalty given by aytekin which was a joke decision!

I think the red card is for the kick out on the 18 yard line rather than the hair grab.

Interestingly, with my eyes at least, the kick out was more apparent from the initial distant footage from the side than from the 2 close ups.
Still not totally sure how much there was in it.  The hair grab looked even less.  It wasn't a closed fist and yank of the hair.

It really riles me if that produces a 3 match ban compared to some of the dangerous tackles that sometimes only result in a YC.

Couldn’t have happened to a nicer guy. 😂
Ironic though that compared with some of the things he has got away with in the past this was quite trivial. His reaction to being sent off was pathetic, dropping to the ground and blabbing like a big girls blouse. The reaction of the Valencia fans in the background is priceless.
That said, I hope he only gets a one match ban so he is available to play both games v Moaning Mourinho and his side!

Apparently it’s just a one-match automatic ban which can be extended if the UEFA suits think it warrants more.
