Nice to see papers accurately reflecting his actual role in their headlines!!!
To be honest I think even (just) as leader of a minority party he may need to consider his time commitments. Probably not wanting to sat for definite in case he loses his seat at next election or fails to get elected as an MSP

If he gets elected to MSP he should step down as an MP

According to the BBC website that doesn't appear to be his intention -

"He then hopes to win a seat at Holyrood - but has said he has no plans to quit the House of Commons before the next general election."

Reportedly, he also met with Boris, Michael and Ruth in the days before Jackson Carlaw resigned although we are told that the subject of the leadership of the Tory Party in Scotland was not discussed at any of these meetings.  In my view, Jackson Carlaw was the best recruiting sergeant for the SNP & Scottish Independence in recent times.

According to the BBC News, Douglas Ross has apologised after he 'ran the line' at Kilmarnock rather than attending VJ Day commemoration events on Saturday. Not the brightest of moves imo from an aspiring leader in Scotland.

Instead of apologising he should just make a decision. One or the other!

Given that many people, arguably a majority, do not understand what VJ day is it is surprising people feel upset. Veterans of the far east war, the forgotten war, have often felt neglected and their sacrifices under appreciated. But we live in hypocritical times. At football matches we have a minutes silence quite often but when a hearse goes down the street very few people if any stop and pay respects. I noticed this recently at a family bereavement. So Mr Ross is probably no different to many, many people in his disrespect but he should apologise profusely Which I think he has.
