Really enjoyed watching him tonight. Full control of everything, along with his assistants, and has a good understanding of the game nad what was at stake.

My only gripe tonight is the fact that I have watched two British teams playing tonight and both were guilty of needlessly falling over whenever there was the slightest contact or they lost the ball.
Just what is happening to football in the UK when a slight breeze can blow players over in an attempt to con the officials? Why do quite a number of our own officials fall for their tricks?

Thank you Danny Makkelie for helping to make a game very enjoyable to watch.
Referee's decision used to be final!

I was maybe too engrossed in the game as a fan but never noticed much falling about, my one complaint was there were a couple of advantages he snubbed in the early part of the game to draw a yellow card but after the first ten or fifteen minutes I never noticed him.  Scotland however were dugmeet.

Excellent performance as usual from Makkelie. He should have had the champions league final last weekend.

Not a fan of that kit colour at all, new adidas kits being used.

Didn't see much of the game so I can't comment on his overall performance, however I thought McGinn was lucky not to be sent off for the foul he was cautioned for.

Not a fan of that kit full stop! The back is an awful design.  On the plus side it comes with a gorgeous shade of purple as one of the colours!

As for Makkelie I don't think there is a better referee than him about right now. He and his team were excellent.

One question though. Did they have GLT? When Scotlands goal went in he looked over to AR1 before giving it. If it was a call by AR1 and not GLT then what a fantastic call.
Hajrá Lilák. Csak a Kispest. Hajrá Magyarok! Hajrá játékvezetői csapat! Soha ne add fel. Nincs sárga kérem!!! No Chris Kavanagh doesn't live in Ashton or even in the Greater Manchester area!!

According to media sources no GLT so absolutely top notch officiating.

On a wider issue I wonder how they found officiating not only without GLT but also VAR. Must be hard to do so many games with one or both, then come into such a crucial game without either.

Was borderline agreed but studs weren't loaded so for UEFA, yellow card.
