So the premier league returns and we are talking about the incompetence of VAR and the on field officials once again.

Itís a clear DOGSO because had Silva not played the ball with his hand the Palace player was through on goal with no covering defender in sight. It has to be a red.

I cannot fathom how VAR has accepted the yellow card.

Even sending Kavanagh to the monitor would have been the absolute minimum, but a FIFA official should have really dealt with it on the field.

This incident reminds me so much of Bowen and Konsa incident in Aston Villa vs West Ham with Chris Kavanagh the referee (Stuart Attwell the VAR that day as well) with the yellow then upgraded to red.

Stuart Attwell really should have intervened.
