Personally I think they should try and continue this season whenever they can, even if that means not starting the next one until September/October time (or even shortening that one in advance, which I think would be fairer than suddenly shortening this one.)

I wouldn't be too critical of football for carrying on. The medics have said that we can no longer contain it and in the absence of a vaccination building up herd immunity is our best beet. Most of us will probably get it at some point, but hopefully just mildly - the important thing is we try to particularly avoid passing it on to the elderly or those with serious health conditions.
