I don't think the UK peak is expected until around May time so I'm not sure if postponing games now especially helps here.
On a refereeing perspective, if Euro 2020 was delayed by 12 months then presumably a few referees would have stopped refereeing international games by then (I think I heard this was scheduled to be Brych's last season as a FIFA referee and Kuipers will be 48 next March.
