Club Brugge (BEL) - Borussia Dortmund (GER)

Apparently referee Damir Skomina has had to go off injured very early in the game, he is replaced by non FIFA referee Dragoslav Perič who has never officiated with VAR.

Best of luck to Mr. Skomina for a quick recovery and the very best of luck to Mr.Perič this evening

Apologies for the double post I should've checked!

So far he is doing fine with no challenges, if one was being very critical he is very noticeably far from play at times and presentation isn't great, on the positive he has played two decent advantages.

Not easy to be thrown into a any CL game with no warm up when not expecting it and with no experience at this level so well done to him so far. It will be very interesting to see if VAR is required how he handles it.

I made similar reference on Appointments before I saw this.
May mean UEFA/National FAs will reconsider who goes as 4th Official.
Personaly I would want a FIFA ref or one with experience as (a) they could come on and (b) they have to deal with characters on the benches
I think AVAR does not need to be as senior as most FAs are doing
