Carlos Cerro Grande Man Utd vs Roma

A rather underwhelming and poor performance by the Spaniard in my opinion , penalties were harsh at best a couple of poor YC decisions and random foul detection I find his signalling lazy aswell can’t really think of any positives to be honest

There was a large gulf between Cerro Grande's performance this evening compared to the masterclass by Brych last night in my view.

I thought Pogba's YC was a joke unless I missed something.  Incidentally, I lost count of the number of fouls on Pogba, most of which were given but I reckon he missed a couple as well as playing advantage on one occasion.  In other incidents, he played one advantage when I suspect United would have preferred the free kick but on another time, he stopped play to caution a Roma player when there was clearly an advantage to be played.

The penalty to Roma was harsh but probably correct under the UEFA interpretation while the United penalty was very dubious.  I was rather surprised VAR didn't recommend a review at the monitor.

Still, a superb second half for United just as it was for City last night. Could we really have 2 all-English Finals?

If it was a Northern Europe refereeing team Pogba might have had a chance of not conceding a penalty, with Spanish officials there was absolutely no chance and that was always going to be given as handball.

IMO handball, unfortunate yes, but still handball and therefore a penalty. Hooray, a penalty given against Man United, woah, when was the last time that happened. Clearly European refs didnt get the memo

Has this on in the background as was watching arsenal and looks like he was very poor for the reasons outlined by Dave and Ref fan.
Not a fan of Spanish refs overall but it shows that Lahoz is a very good referee compared to this guy!
