What on earth happened at Newport tonight? Three penalties, a 97th minute equaliser and double digits in cards.

I think the manager Mike Flynn may well be in hot water for his post match remarks. Very strong language!

For all we know Trevor might have gotten everything spot on, by the comments of the Newport manager it would seem he had an axe to grind before the match had even kicked off .

We had Mr Kettle on Saturday at Mansfield, he had a decent game with no problem at all even though we were gubbed 4-0...

I'll let you all judge for yourself!

The second and third penalties look very soft, the third one more so as it appears the player penalised for hands was hauled over by the attacker. Even worse still.. the defender was carded!

Very bizarre.

All a matter of opinion of course but first two decisions look sound to me. Third incident however does look like the defender was fouled before the hand ball.

It is a relief to return to my laptop and find that the title of this topic is clear. On my recent travels I was using a notebook - a strange device: it should have been christened Excelsior - which has a curious way of representing letters, notably t. The result was a gap between the a and the t, equal to that between t and i, making for a somewhat ambiguous interpretation.
