Well I personally hope this means a promotion for Andy Madley, to take his brothers place, Don't know how he's not there already.

I sincerely hope he doesn't share his brother's sense of humor...

I suppose the truth was bound to come out sooner or later. You just cannot understand how someone in his position could be so stupid as to throw away a promising career like he had, having done the really hard part in actually getting on to the Select Group and FIFA too.  I guess we all make mistakes but anyone with half a brain would surely know that these days comments like that are just not acceptable by anyone, let alone by those in the public eye.

If one of you - I can't remember who or I'd pm you, notices your post missing that's my fault, new layout & I clicked the wrong "remove" when removing a post - they were at the bottom on the old forum not the top. There is no undo button for it either! Sorry

I think it’s my post about working with diabled folk and admiring their dignity in contrast to Madley’s crass and insensitive  comments. No offence taken bmb, honestly!

Madley has evidently had his request to officiate in the MLS rejected by Grandad Walton.

I don't think Peter Walton is involved with the MLS any more (hence his appearances on BT Sport back in the UK) - I think Howard Webb now oversees things over there.

I really wouldn't read too much into that Sun article.  It says he was fired by the PGMOL but is subject to a gagging order due to his pay off.  That isn't how it works, either he was fired for gross misconduct in which case he gets nothing, or he quite of his own accord with a pay off to go.  If the former there cannot be a gagging order, if the latter there can.

It also says he recently split with his wife, when in reality they split two years ago.  They are, as the Sun tend to do, making it up as they go along.

I know my geography isn't too good but I'm pretty sure the MLS is not in Norway!

That's certainly my understanding. I seem to remember he left Saudi Arabia to take over in the USA and Clatts took over from him in Saudi Arabia.

I notice that he’s now showing on the NFF system as being a registered referee with a club in Oslo. Which would suggest that the Norwegian FA are happy enough to have him doing games for them.

More fool them, that’s all I can say.
