I totally agree with all the comments above.  And it was good to see that Prince William's comments were reported on BBC NW News last evening noting that Anthony came from Altrincham.

Can I just add that Anthony Taylor having refereed Christian Eriksen many times in the past as mentioned in the op. is I think very pertinent.  An incident like this must be upsetting whoever the player, but I imagine it adds another dimension to the emotion if it's a player you know and respect.

Whatever the arguments for and against resuming the game, credit to the officials and the players for the way they all responded. 

A word too for the fans. It was also reported that the Finnish fans chanted "Christian, Christian" with the Danish fans responding with "Eriksen, Eriksen".  Such a pleasing contrast with what some fans are capable of.
