I didn’t agree that Madley was great today. How Shaw avoided a yellow for the challenge in front of AR1 or for persistent infringement would see a Level 4 lose marks from any Observer. His decision making was erratic, for example when Gakpo was held and I thought he was trying to play advantage but ended up giving a free kick to the away team. He missed a simple yellow when an away player clattered Konate as he cleared the ball in the penalty area late in the game. He also allowed the obnoxious Fernandes free rein to go through his full repertoire of dark arts unpunished.

Not impressed at all to be honest.
I think the commentator summed up Madley towards the end when it was said he wasnt looking for trouble ie sanctions may have inflamed the situation.
It wasnt an easy game to control, personally i thought Madley navigated it quite well, a decent performance but not excellent.
