Andrew Madley: Tottenham v Liverpool

A* performance in the 1st half. Barely noticed him and used lots of nice little advantages to let the game flow!

Only little issue was when Elliott got tackled by Ben Davies and it looked like a foul but the tackle was so late that Madley had gone with the play and couldn't have spotted it

Is it not Kavanagh?

Good 2nd half. Thought he missed out on a few fouls towards the end but still overall an excellent performance from Madley and team

Look similar from the back, but definitely Madley.

I thought for a first big 6 game, he did well - judged both penalty incidents correctly in my view.  He did miss a couple of fouls, but that's about the only thing I could find fault with.

Very good performance from Andy Madley and card free as well. Managed the game very well and both penalty calls were correct.

Fair to say I think the trial of Hooper and Madley on big games has been a success.  Now there really is no excuse for Oliver, Taylor and Tierney to dominate the appointments in big-6 games anymore.

Good that Madley and Hooper have both had positive reviews from their recent first 'big 6' head to head  game. SG1 certainly needs more referees to be able to do the highest profile games so this has been a good step in their development.

Very impressed with Madley. Kept a low profile and made sure that the game was about the players and not him. Let’s just hope his younger brother was watching and could learn a thing or 2

Why are referees loathe to book Harry Kane for fouls which other players would see a yellow card for??

Why are referees loathe to award penalties for a blatant push in the back with no attempt to play the ball?

Madley was very good. Bar the decision not to book Davies for a very late tackle- Coote should have seen that. And not booking Kane- as usual.
