Kisvárda Master Good 0-0 Újpest
Referee: Pintér Csaba (black shirt)

Kisvárda fans paid tribute to a local 5 year old girl who died this week in Szabolcs. Holding a banner with “ANNÁCSKA!” up high for the first 5 minutes of the game. RIP little one

On the pitch – the first half was a bit cagey. Ötvös Bence forcing a save from Banai Dávid around the 30 min mark. Újpest broke away on the left, Driton Camaj brought down Katona Mátyás just outside the penalty box, red card – DOGSO. Felt a bit of a harsh decision, although was correct in law. Mitrovic Nikola unable to convert the resulting free kick. Navratil Jaroslav forced a save from Banai Dávid near the end of the half. 0-0 at half time. 2nd half was entertaining enough. Plenty of play by both teams but nothing really penetrating the box. As things stand Újpest’s 110 years in the top flight is seriously in jeopardy, rooted to the bottom of the table 5 points from safety You have to question how much longer they will persevere with Michael Oenning. He’s a decent coach but is simply not working out at Újpest. Shameful that they did not put any pressure on a team a man down for an hour.

Pintér Csaba was his usual reliable self. Did what was needed in his quiet, understated way.

Hajrá Lilák. Csak a Kispest. Hajrá Magyarok! Hajrá játékvezetői csapat! Soha ne add fel. Nincs sárga kérem!!! No Chris Kavanagh doesn't live in Ashton or even in the Greater Manchester area!!
