Only 5 games played this weekend due to Fradi playing in the CL - their game will be played 22nd September. No such luxury for Lilák being given the weekend off ahead of their conference league match - double standards me thinks...

In terms of VAR this weekend. It felt more noticeable but when you look at the stats it wasn't! Pillók Ádám had a difficult game, not in terms of his refereeing but the game was difficult, a lot of disciplinary issues and 5 of the VAR reviews were in his game. He looked so stressed during each one. It was his first game live with VAR, he's young and inexperienced so his stress showed.  He did very well though and on reflection it will have been a great learning game for him. His confidence with VAR will grow.
