Reasonable first 75 mins for Vad but the last 15... In the Vidi v Fradi game, Berke gave a penalty for handball, for me it should never have been a penalty but under the current LOTG it was a correct decision and it is the LOTG that are wrong. Virtually identical situation in the Újpest v ZTE game and Vad did not give it. I could let that one go because I think the LOTG are wrong but his decision was not correct within the LOTG. 2nd penalty shout for Újpest with a clear shove in the back, everyone but Vad saw it! On 3 occasions he fell for play acting on ZTE's part, I have a bigger problem with the players conduct than him falling for it but he also booked Soma for a push where there was literally zero contact.  Got in the way on a couple of occasions as well, which is unlike him actually. Free kick in the dying seconds, I thought harsh but on replay the ZTE player had kicked Obinna's foot and didn't play the ball at all so that was an excellent spot in real time. Lilák scored the winner - Ristevski finally doing something other than giving away stupid fouls or getting himself booked for being an idiot! I wonder whether the clear shove in Soma's back would have been given as a penalty (it was another very clear one) had Ristevski not scored?! Excellent non offside call from Becséri in the same very quick passage of play as well.

Vital win for my team so no sour grapes regarding the decisions. If Paks lose tomorrow, or Debrecen lose or draw tomorrow then my boys are safe before the final game!

When McWoods scored for ZTE, he took the knee with some of his team mates. We have a bet going now as to whether he will be fined for it while the Federation ignore the Aryan greens flag from the Fradi fans. Do not let us down MLSZ - act quickly and decisively!

The MLSZ have confirmed that season 2020/21 will kick off for the NBII on 2nd August & the NBI on 15th August.

Every time I think this league can not get anymore bonkers, it gets even more bonkers!  The results have made a complete mockery of the predictions league , don't think any of us have got any points again this round! LOL

1st up tonight was Mezokovesd 0-1 Debrecen. This takes both the fight for 3rd spot and the relegation battle to the last game.  It did look for a long while that it was going to be a game of who could have the most goals disallowed!! Mezokovesd had 2 disallowed one for a foul on the keeper and one correctly for offside. The first I am torn, I think keepers get too much protection as it is but then he did knock him flying as they both went for the ball. No way could it be called an incorrect decision though. Loki also had 1 correctly disallowed for offside.  Both of them fell foul of Mr Tóth's flag - 2 huge and correct calls from probably our top AR now Mr Ring has retired. Well done Mr Tóth, a masterclass from him. Kuttor was having an absolutely disgusting rant on the TV post match about the referee costing them the game & Europe. No your team cost you the game when they let in a goal & didn't score more than the other team. Vile creature. Hope he spends the last game sat at home watching on TV because he has a touchline ban...

Then the double header. Kisvarda 1-1 Felcsút on the top screen. Well #SolymosiWatch in red... It's going to take priority! Sadly Felcsút equalised right at the end :( Kisvarda had a pen shout disallowed, not entirely convinced that Mr Pintér was right, there was a bit of shoving & pushing each way and Viana went down like a sniper had got him, which is why I think Mr Pintér deemed it a coming together and no penalty. I think there was probably enough for one to be given but will add that is with the benefit of replays which Mr Pinter did not have. Bodog, the manager went mental & highlight of the match was seeing him get a yellow, have never forgiven his conduct towards the lovely Mr Solymosi about 3/4 seasons ago! Kisvarda did also have a correct penalty given to them, which was saved. They scored soon after.

I will mention here that the 4th official had water for team ref during the drinks breaks! Thank you Mr Puhl for giving them a reminder. Neither of the AARs had any but they were both in shade. It was reassuring to see it available.

In the bottom screen was Kispest 4-2 Kaposvar. Looked to be a decent debut for Mr Antal.  He did get in the way of play 2/3 times quite badly but his decision making was decent enough. He has a lovely manner about him, calm and relaxed and a lovely big smile on his face. Several incidents where he was seen sharing a few words and a smile with players, they liked him and responded to him well. Needs to adjust his positioning a bit, the NBI is a bit faster than the NBII but he was decent overall. Well done Mr Antal. Nice to see Mr Erdős back and clad in blue behind the goal line! Kispest are now safe and Kaposvár are down - yes!!! I may have mentioned once or twice that I can't wait to see the back of them! Their 2 delightful coaches were not happy with the ref but then Missy bmb is more likely to ask Mr Puhl to put the lovely Mr Solymosi in yellow every game next season than they are to take responsibility for their lack of tactics & we all know the former will never happen!

Final game of the round was Paks 4-2 DVTK. Where has this Paks come from? Absolute cracker of a game and another very assured performance from young Mr Bogár. DVTK confirmed safe tonight despite losing!

So to Saturday!

  • Debrecen need to win v Paks to stay up, if they draw or lose regardless of other results then they go down.
  • Paks need to beat or draw with Debrecen to stay up
  • If Kisvarda lose to DVTK and Debrecen win then Kisvarda will go down.
  • If Kisvarda win & Debrecen win & Lilák lose by 3 or more goals then Lilák will go down.
  • Mezokovesd now need to beat Fradi and hope Felscút lose or draw v Honvéd for them to take 3rd spot & the remaining EL place.
  • Felcsút need to beat Honvéd to finish 3rd, a draw or loss will be enough if Fradi beat Mezokovesd.

Another bonkers day to look forward to!

It has also crossed Missy bmb's mind that this Saturday could see the retirement of the lovely Mr Solymosi. I am desperately hoping that is not the case. Please Mr Puhl talk him into 1 more season. He is still one of the best performers week in/week out, he's too good to lose whilst he is still fit enough to carry on & he has shown that he is.

ZTE v Mol Fehérvár
2020.06.27 – 15:15
Zalaegerszeg, Zalaegerszegi Városi Stadion (ZTE Aréna)
Referee: Káprály Mihály
4O: Szalai Balázs
AR: Tóth II. Vencel, Szécsényi István
AAR: Németh Ádám, Takács János

NBI debut for 29 year old Káprály Mihály from Budapest. Mr Káprály has done 5 games as AAR in the NBI and now makes his debut as referee. He has been registered with the MLSZ JB since 2017-07-01. Good Luck Mr Káprály. He has a decent & experienced team with him. Good game for a debut as there is nothing riding on it. I do remember being impressed with him in a Magyar Kupa match earlier in the season so look forward to seeing him deut in the NBI.

DVTK v Kisvárda Master Good
2020.06.27 – 17:30
Miskolc, DVTK Stadion
Referee: Vad II. István
4O: Medovarszki János
AR: Kóbor Péter, Garai Péter
AAR: Bogár Gergő, Hanyecz Bence

Újpest v Kaposvári Rákóczi
2020.06.27 – 17:30
Budapest, Szusza Ferenc Stadion
Referee: Csonka Bence
4O: Albert István
AR: Márkus Tamás, Becséri Gergely
AAR: Andó-Szabó Sándor, Radványi Ádám

DVSC v Paks
2020.06.27 – 17:30
Debrecen, Debreceni Nagyerdei Stadion
Referee: Berke Balázs
4O: Csatári Tibor
AR: Buzás Balázs, Georgiou Theodoros
AAR: Farkas Ádám, Pintér Csaba

Berke Balázs with the big big game of the weekend. Excellent choice. His knowledge and application of the LOTG is fantastic, fair, honest and consistent with both teams. It's a game where a strong referee will be needed. Very sensible appointing.

Ferencváros v Mezőkövesd Zsóry
2020.06.27 – 20:00
Budapest, Groupama Aréna
Referee: Erdős József
4O: Szalai Dániel
AR: Szert Balázs, Lémon Oszkár
AAR: Solymosi Péter, Antal Péter

Sensible team out on this one. Calm and experienced.  Szalai Dániel is obviously on the naughty step though as he has the pleasure of the lovely (!) Kuttor to contend with for 90 mins.  Hope someone gives him some ear defenders and there is a large packet of paracetamol sat waiting for him in the dressing room post match to aid that headache he is going to get...

Puskás Akadémia v Budapest Honvéd
2020.06.27 – 20:00
Felcsút, Puskás Akadémia Pancho Aréna
Referee: Iványi Zoltán
4O: Huszár Balázs
AR: Vígh-Tarsonyi Gergő, Bornemissza Norbert
AAR: Pillók Ádám, Szilágyi Sándor

Mr Iványi a very good choice for this game as well. Wise old head who has a great rapport with players and whose man management is second to none. The game is in danger of boiling over if Felcsút are not getting their own way with the final European place at stake and he is a great choice to help keep it that bit calmer.

I don't like Mezokvesd's manager, I think he is vile but I do want his team to win and Felcsút to lose - them taking the last European spot is far more of a palatable option than Felcsút taking it...

In terms of relegation - Hajrá Lilák. Hajrá Loki.  Don't care which of Kisvárda or Paks go down but please dear God of football let it be one of those 2! Paks will see me get a 30 point bonus in the Prediction league, Kisvárda - well it would be worth it to see the smile wiped off of Bodog's face - another vile little man! He still owes the lovely Mr Solymosi an apology!

In terms of the lovely Mr Solymosi disappointed that he is AAR again but I am also taking it as a good sign that he will be back in August. There is absolutely no way that Mr Puhl would not appoint him a middle if he was going to be retiring this week. That's not Mr Puhl's style. He will always give any retiring referee a farewell match. If nothing else he will be back for at least one game in August as his retirement match! That gives me hope that Mr Puhl is working his magic and he will be staying on for another season! If he does then a thank you bottle of pálinka will be winging it Mr Puhl's way! ;)
Hajrá Lilák. Csak a Kispest. Hajrá Magyarok! Hajrá játékvezetői csapat! Soha ne add fel. Nincs sárga kérem!!! No Chris Kavanagh doesn't live in Ashton or even in the Greater Manchester area!!

Utterly bonkers!

ZTE 1-1 MOL Fehérvár
Superb debut from Mr Káprály apart from the yellow shirt of course - fantastic advantage in build up to the Vidi goal; correct booking on Mitrovic for a foul but Mitrovic went right up in his face could easily have been a 2nd booking for dissent. 3/4 other good advantages. Pen shout refused after mitrovic kicked ball against defenders arm - correct call for me, seen them given but I rarely agree when they are!! 2nd pen shout also correct - no contact. Fantastic advantage in lead up to ZTE goal. That was scored literally from the halfway line - goal of the season! (https://twitter.com/TomaszMortimer/status/1276894074197467136) Also correctly disallowed a goal for Niko of Vidi for being offside. He can be very happy with how that game went. 2 advantages that directly led to goals, 3 key incidents in the pen shouts & disallowed goal, all correct. Well done Mr Káprály

He had drink in both drinks breaks, which was great to see. His spare whistle is metal - you don't see that often!

The relegation games - bear in mind bmb was a complete emotional wreck during these games.

DVTK 0-2 Kisvarda
Vad II. István - blue shirt
Don't know what it is about lightning and Mr Vad but it seems to follow him around! 2 huge flashes right by the stadium around the 36 min mark saw him take the players off very very quickly. He quite rightly took no chances. They came back out around 10 mins later. Other than an incorrectly given offside Kisvarda goal there was nothing else of note! Lightning striking the ground by the stadium and a key match error - normal day at the office for him!

Újpest 5-0 Kaposvár
Csonka Bence - blue shirt
Even at 5-0 up bmb still believed Lilák would throw the game away and lose 12-5 to send us down! We didn't though! Mr Csonka was on the pitch somewhere but the game was that one sided I think he was having a snooze for most of it! He wasn't needed. Probably one of the easiest games he will ever referee. Soha ne add fel!! Good riddance Kaposvár, please do not visit again anytime soon.

Debrecen 1-1 Paks
Berke Balázs - black shirt.
Assured performance from Mr Berke in the big game of the day. Absolutely bonkers at the end - Loki had one cleared off the line, hit the post and had one clear the keeper, hit the crossbar and bounce back down onto the line. Had any of those gone in their despair would have turned to joy but it wasn't to be and sadly we now lose Loki to the NBII next season.  :'(

Disgusting scenes at the end of this one as the Loki ultras invaded the pitch and were tussling with their players. Team ref had left the pitch and were safe but the ultras were not after them anyway. The vile cowardly scum soon ran when the rendőrség appeared. Not what you want to see. I'll bet none of those concerned have been there for ages either, they were there just for trouble.  >:(

None of the refs had drinks available with the 4O, despite it being 29+. Concerning & has been noted by UEFA so hopefully this will be addressed before the season is back in August.

The battle for 3rd

Fradi 1-0 Mezokovesd
Erdős József - black shirt.  Nowhere near enough Solymosi for bmb's #SolymosiWatch today! At least it was in black!!
Decent game from Mr Erdős. Fradi were not going to roll over and let their 54 match unbeaten home run go. Deserved victory for them, they barely got out of 1st gear. Disappointed Mezokovesd didn't finish 3rd, they deserved it across the season but I am also please their horrible manager Mr Kuttor wasn't rewarded with it either.

4O had water available for team ref in this one.

Felcsút 2-1 Honvéd
Iványi Zoltán - yellow shirt. Bad Mr Iványi - pension him off instead of the lovely Mr Solymosi please!
Typical performance from him, calm, relaxed and no fuss. Normally I will support every Hungarian team in Europe because they are representing the country but I will very churlishly refuse to do so in Felcsúts case. Sickening.

No water available for team ref in this one & it was still 29 degrees at end of the game. Again concerning. Thankfully UEFA have been monitoring which leagues have ensured that it has been provided and which one's haven't so will hopefully soon issue a directive regarding it, ahead of the new season.

There were adverts over the last few days that the World Cup games from 1994 are going to be shown in July. Can't wait!! I look forward to watching Mr Puhl referee, loved him as a referee and can't wait to have a reminder of just how good he was out on the pitch.  ;D

So ends another completely bonkers season. My Kispest won the Kupa, my Lilák stayed up - finished 6th. Sad to have lost Mr Kassai & Mr Ring. I miss György, in particular, so much :( I miss Mr K's handsome face and epic death stare as well. Also lost my Mr beautiful - Nebojša - maybe we will get a new home in the summer! I will not handle the loss of the lovely Mr Solymosi on top of that so please Mr Puhl talk him into another year!

Off to celebrate my Lilák staying up!

Soha ne add fel!!

Disgraceful article in the Hungarian Spectrum alleging corruption in the DVSC v Mezokovesd game.

https://hungarianspectrum.org/2020/06/29/the-puskas-academy-fc-will-compete-in-the-europa-league-how-and-at-what-cost/

Where to even start with the inaccuracies!

  • "The game turned out to be very strange. Sándor Andó-Szabó, the referee, ruled that three Loki goals were invalid" - it was 2 for Mezokovesd and 1 for Loki. 2 offside calls which were perfectly correct, 1 for each team. The other goal disallowed is more subjective, personally I would have given it, as I said above I think goalkeepers are over protected but there was a foul on him and the decision was correct within the LOTG.
  • "and allowed a Mezőkövesd goal, which in the slow motion replay proved to be offside." - It was Loki who scored! Varga was offside by around 2mm, the ball never reached as far as him, Garba scored from 2-3 feet to his left, he wasn't interfering with the gk line of vision, there was a defender on him, there was one on Garba as well! Not 100% convinced even VAR would have ruled it out. Even if they had it was so marginal that there is no way on earth the AR (Theodoros Georgiou) would have been able to determine that in the split second of real time that he had to make the decision - indeterminable to the naked eye.
  • They basically call a referee corrupt for correctly, within the the LOTG, disallowing 3 goals! Just laughable!
  • They reference Kuttor as Loki's coach - he is the coach of Mezokovesd!
  • They state that Loki have had previous problems with the referee which hardly fits their narrative that he deliberately favoured them to get one over on Mezokovesd in this match.
  • Completely ignored the fact that Felcsút (Orbán) virtually bought Vidi II to get a better starting base for their push.

Hajrá Lilák. Csak a Kispest. Hajrá Magyarok! Hajrá játékvezetői csapat! Soha ne add fel. Nincs sárga kérem!!! No Chris Kavanagh doesn't live in Ashton or even in the Greater Manchester area!!

Well I am furious right now and no not with Vad - the game only kicked off 1 minute ago! he is in red, Mr Berke wore blue.

My fury is with Fradi, well their fans who were stood there 'proudly' displaying the aryan greens flag all game... Shame on Vidi as well for not removing it. Complaints submitted to UEFA, the MLSZ & both clubs. Angry bmb is angry!!

6,000,000 forint fine for Fradi - well done MLSZ!

(About Ł15,500 but in context that is just over twice the average national yearly wage in Hungary)

The lovely Mr Solymosi finishes top in the NSO referee rankings - obviously Missy bmb is not alone in thinking he is the best! I will point out though that I am the one to always say so every single week without fail!

Gratulálok Péter.

Happy bmb as the article confirms that he will be continuing until at least December so #SolymosiWatch will still be a thing in the Autumn season!

Maybe this season Mr Puhl will agree to let me do my interviews that I have been asking him to let me do for about 3 years now... I think he's scared of me personally!!!  ;)

I am literally too lazy to type out the stats for the season!

The important one - shirt colours:

Games 102 + 1 from MD1 that was postponed; Black-36+1; Blue-29; Red-19; Yellow-18 <---- shameful stat that one, let's hope we improve that next season!

Balázs Berke - Games:12  Black-4 ; Blue-6 ; Red-1 ; Yellow-1
Péter Solymosi - Games:10 Black-5; Blue-1; Red-3; Yellow-1 :(
Csaba Pintér - Games:10+1  Black-3+1 ; Blue-4 ; Red-2 ; Yellow-1 <---when Péter Solymosi was his AAR :(
Zoltán Iványi - Games:10  Black-5 ; Blue-2 ; Red-1 ; Yellow-2
József Erdős - Games:9  Black-5 ; Blue-2 ; Red-2 ; Yellow-0
István Vad II - Games:8  Black-1 ; Blue-2 ; Red-3 ; Yellow-2
Sándor Andó-Szabó - Games:8  Black-0 ; Blue-1 ; Red-2 ; Yellow-5 Shameful!
Gergő Bogár - Games:7  Black-4 ; Blue-2 ; Red-1 ; Yellow-0
Ferenc Karakó - Games:7  Black-3 ; Blue-1 ; Red-2 ; Yellow-1
Tamás Bognár - Games:6 Black-2; Blue-2 ; Red-1 ; Yellow-1
