Absolute bonkers afternoon so far in the NBI - 1 Red, 1YYR, another red that shows on flashscore as a straight red but Mr Kassai definitely showed a yellow and then the red so I think it was a YYR not straight red, 3 penalties - 2, both given by Mr Kassai, were saved in the same game & a Lilák win in the only game without either a red card or penalty! The rain was so heavy in Paks you could barely hear the commentator speaking over it.

The evening game seems rubbish in comparison! Kispest are 1-0 up at half time.

Shirt stat: Mr Erdős & Mr Iványi - black, Mr Kassai & Mr Bogár - red, Mr Pintér I am pleasantly surprised to see in blue!

The evening game seems rubbish in comparison! Kispest are 1-0 up at half time.

Looked like it was going to be a let down for 85 mins - score remained 1-0 to Kispest, then Sanninno having already been booked on his 1st game back from a totting up ban was sent off the bench along with Feczkó so not sure what was going on in the tech area! Both managers binned followed by Ivanovski of DVTK in the TAO!

I feel a bit cheated now in the Puskás Akadémia v Újpest game - only Saturday game with no red card and no penalties!

Sunday game - Fradi are 2-0 up at half time & looking like champions. No red cards or penalties yet! Mr Farkas in black, has had a decent 1st half. Played a lovely advantage for Fradi. Very quick to stop play for a head injury - Debrecen player headbutted his own teammate as they both jumped to clear a ball - Szecsi left with a nasty looking split lip. Theodoros Georgiou with 2 very tight, difficult offsides that he has called spot on. 2nd half just starting.
Hajrá Lilák. Csak a Kispest. Hajrá Magyarok! Hajrá játékvezetői csapat! Soha ne add fel. Nincs sárga kérem!!! No Chris Kavanagh doesn't live in Ashton or even in the Greater Manchester area!!

Thank the Lord of Football, that the proper football is back this week! Just getting in a reminder ahead of the appointments being announced tomorrow - Please send out the nincs sárga memo with the appointments Mr Puhl, add in a nincs rózsaszín just in case! bmb has #SolymosiWatch withdrawal symptoms so if you are feeling in a be nice to bmb mood...

I'm pretty sure Mr Puhl doesn't give a stuff about Missy bmb but happy bmb equals happy everyone else!  ;D

Thanks Mr Puhl - missy bmb is a happy lady #SolymosiWatch  Would it be pushing it to ask for him to wear red this weekend?

I'd say these have to be potentially described as provisional appointments because there is no referee or AAR's named for the Fradi game as yet. No idea why but we could be waiting on the Saudi League (as neither Mr Kassai nor Mr Bognár appear anywhere & they are the 2 likely to feature in the Saudi League) or maybe a late fitness decision. As such there could yet be some changes particularly if we have to draught in NBII refs for the AAR roles! Ah just twigged it is a Sunday game (and can't be bothered to edit the above) so they may well not announce it until tomorrow!  This stance does seem very silly to me - far bigger leagues than ours name the referees 5/6 days in advance so I really don't know why we have the cloak & dagger mentality in Hungary. The countries where refs routinely get threatened I can understand it but we don't get that so it really baffles me.

Happy with young Mr Pillók on the Kispest game, one of 3 exciting youngsters being developed this season. Not so sure about Mr Karakó on the Vidi v Felcsút game - it has a habit of being a bad tempered affair & requires careful man management, which is not his strong point! Would have thought, Mr Iványi or Mr Solymosi would have been better on that one but I hope it goes well for him & a miracle occurs in that the players behave themselves for a change!

No Kassai? I did see his name at the last MD but I would expect another match before a possible CL/EL appointment.
I know that I know nothing

He might have the Fradi game on Sunday, the referee & AARs not announced for that yet. He might be in Saudi Arabia though as neither of his ARs have a game either & that suggests to me that he is there & not in Hungary.

Bognár has the Fradi game so I can only assume that Mr Kassai & his team are in Saudi Arabia this weekend on VAR experience.

Just a quickie - mega happy bmb as #SolymosiWatch came with a red shirt!  Mr Iványi & Mr Andó-Szabó in black, Mr Karakó in blue and Mr Pillók needs to be reporting to the naughty step.  Will do a run down of the games later or tomorrow but I'm going back to cussing out Mr Andó-Szabó for quite correctly booking my main man Branko for a dreadful tackle (bmb's fav player)

So quick run down.

Budapest Honvéd 2-1 Paks -  Pillók Ádám (yellow shirt)
Paks need to take a long hard look at themselves, their behaviour and conduct today was absolutely disgraceful.  Every time the whistle went, and yes I mean literally, 5/6 players surrounded the ref whether the decision was for or against them. As for Böde's conduct after the penalty decision, I hope the disciplinary committee take a look at the video and give him a ban. National team legend or not he was a disgrace. Glad he went in the book at least.  Lanzafame also needs to take a long hard look at himself, his gamesmanship is embarrassing... He managed to con the ref once and my player or not - it's not on.  Wasn't a particularly enjoyable game to watch because of the conduct of the players, they ruined it with their poor behaviour. Paks goal was a great header, Kispest's equaliser came from a penalty & the winner, well if a question of sport was still going it was a definite candidate for 'what happened next'. Not a clue what the defender was trying to do but he kicked the ball about 1 foot at most less than 6 yards out and with an empty net behind him, Naser Aliji said thank you very much and slotted it home. Sunday league stuff! Aside of failing to read the "nincs sárga" memo (sort him out please Mr Puhl...) the young ref did well, he remained calm despite being surrounded constantly, calmly stepped back. I think his inexperience does show at times & the odd thing I think he would have handled differently if he was a bit more experienced but he also shows a great deal of maturity at times as well. Decision making was decent overall, positioning decent, fitness excellent. Hope he keeps progressing as is currently.

Mol Fehérvár 1-3 Puskás Akadémia - Karakó Ferenc (blue shirt)
Ok hands up - he seems to have done well over all in the game. It was one of my small screen games & I wasn't paying too much attention to it but no howls of dismay my way, asking me to "explain that". Didn't build a rapport with players, they dislike him & it shows. I was included in a whatsapp chat today with staff members of both teams and they confirmed how disliked he is shall we say! A few words I didn't need translated as my cussing is pretty good but I learned 3 new insults today! I will add that whilst I was added into the chat, I never commented once. Lots of dissent his way during the game & quite how he can justify no yellow card for Juhasz is completely beyond me - he did walk off a couple of times when Roli was airing his expert opinion(!) and leave him looking stupid as he was yakking to thin air but this is a player that never shuts up, his mouth starts moving from the whistle to start the game & does not stop. He is constantly in the refs ear for 90 mins. I don't know if it's just because he is a National team legend that he gets away with it but Mr Karakó is not alone in not booking him. I wish some of the referees would - not a game goes by where he could pick up a YYR for dissent. If he spent as much time playing football as he does in giving the ref the benefit of his far superior opinion then he might actually break into a sweat! Penalty for Felcsút - not sure if it was given for the shirt pull, the elbow in the back or the kick to the ankles! Young Fehérvár player who then had the audacity to claim he had played the ball! Surprised the Felcsút players shirt was not ripped - he'd virtually yanked it off of his back, before elbowing him and kicking him! Few minor inconsistencies but he importantly got the big call right. The penalty was saved but Felcsút went onto score a 3rd goal before Roli got a consolation goal for Fehérvár - think it was the only time his mouth stopped moving for him to touch the ball!

Mezőkövesd Zsóry 2-0 Kaposvári Rákóczi - Solymosi Péter (red shirt)
Got my #SolymosiWatch & got my red shirt to go with it so bmb is a very happy lady. Mr Puhl may even get a small pálinka with his Christmas card ;) Easy game to referee in terms of player conduct, both sets of players were well behaved & respected the referee. He played a lovely advantage for Mezőkövesd in the 35th min, I hate that 1 handed signal though! Penalty for Mezőkövesd looked spot on for me. Kaposvári manager was moaning about it post match and saying it was yet another example of them being picked on by the mean referees because they are the little team in the league - no mention of his lack of tactics and the fact his players look out of their depth in the top flight though - who knew!  They are sure to be relegated and not because of mean referees but because they are an NBII team & nowhere near good enough for the NBI & he has the same level of tactical nous as missy bmb (ie zero!). Steady, competent performance from a safe & reliable pair of hands. Please do not let him retire over the winter break Mr Puhl...

Kisvárda Master Good 1-0 DVSC - Iványi Zoltán (black shirt)
Having incurred the wrath of Missy bmb for excessisve yellow wearing Mr Iványi turned out in black again! This was my other little screen game so I may have missed something but Charlie Bácsi was watching this one & didn't mention him. From what I saw, like with Mr Solymosi it was a typical steady, competent performance from a safe & reliable pair of hands. Another who is liked and respected by players & is a wise, experienced old head, rarely anything of major note in his games.

Újpest 0-2 DVTK - Andó-Szabó Sándor (black shirt)
Oh dear oh dear and no not Mr Andó-Szabó who had a decent game. My team on the other hand...He did book Branko, my fav player, and whilst a correct decision in law it's plainly wrong morally! ;) Branko had an absolute mare of a game actually but let's not go there. Nothing to say about Mr Andó-Szabó, he just got on with it & did what he had to and well. My team were an absolute shambles, DVTK on the other other hand were organised, played well & deserved the win. The only Lilák positive is that Litauszki is back from injury ahead of schedule.  Off to drink pálinka with the manager now until we can no longer remember the horror show we watched today.

Well done team ref - it was a good day for them.

Thanks for the link. I assumed he was not in Hungary as Györy & Vencel were nowhere to be seen. Will watch that after our Sunday game.  Glad to see he wore black though!!
