Berke is wearing yellow for the 1st time in his professional career! bmb is not a happy lady & he missed a dreadful hauldown on Feczesin right outside the box when Lilák were 1-0 down.  Could have been a game changer that! Best he change kit & up his blimmin game for the 2nd half...

Mr Erdős wore blue so at least #SolymosiWatch wasn't tainted! I do think there was a key match error in this one - my opinion is the Felcsút equaliser was not lawful - 2 players in offside positions standing virtually on the goal line, one of whom helped the ball over the line. The goal was credited to him. No flag from the AR, Mr Solymosi looked straight to him as did Mr Erdős and they were both seen speaking over the comms. Mr Vígh-Tarsonyi stood firm though so the goal was given.

I will add Mr Erdős was fantastic with how he dealt with the mobbing of the AR.  He was straight over, booked one player & told the rest of them to go away and stood directly in front of the AR to prevent any players approaching him. He protected his team member as a referee should - hope Mr Vad was watching how it should be done as he normally turns tail and runs away and leaves his AR's completely unprotected! Well done Mr Erdős!

What a cracking afternoon of football in the NBI today. When watching on TV back in the UK I have 2 games on large screen & 3 games on small screen & don't really watch those 3 unless there is a goal or incident & I watch the replay of it. (Unless there is #SolymosiWatch, Lilák & Kispest on 3 different games at the same time, when I have 3 large & 2 small screens!)

Mezőkövesd Zsóry v Mol Fehérvár - Referee: Farkas Ádám (Red shirt) Result 0-0
Didn't really watch this one & by all accounts it was a fairly dull 0-0 draw.  Not a murmur my way about Farkas from the press guys which says no disputed/contentious decisions. Easy afternoon for him by all accounts.


Puskás Akadémia v Paks - Referee: Karakó Ferenc (Red shirt) Result 4-2
Another small screen game and I have watched the highlights on the gól show. 6 goals, 2 yellows & 1 red. All goals looked valid, the 2 yellows were spot on & so was the red. No complaints voiced and as Mr Karakó is not popular in Hungary that suggests he had a decent enough game.

Kaposvári Rákóczi v Kisvárda Master Good - Referee: Solymosi Péter (Black shirt) Result 0-2
My main focus game - there's a surprise! 3 yellow cards all of which were spot on.  Penalty shout for Kaposvár that I thought on 1st view he had called wrong but replays showed he was correct. Highlight of the game in refereeing terms was the absolutely sublime advantage that he played in the lead up to Kisvárda's 2nd goal.  Kaposvár player took out a Kisvárda player about 5 feet into the Kaposvár half, resultant lose ball was picked up by a Kisvárda player who steamed up the pitch with it, he first used the awful 1 handed advantage signal, followed swiftly by the 2 handed one, within 10-15 seconds the ball was in the back of the net. Superb example of an excellent advantage and yes he went back and booked the Kaposvár player for the original foul. Now not sure who he cautioned on 90+ I'm assuming someone off of one of the benches but in camera view when he held the card up there was only him & György Ring & I'm pretty sure he was not cautioning György! He and his team can feel pleased with their contribution to the game.


ZTE v Budapest Honvéd - Referee: Iványi Zoltán (wore yellow again so time he was dropped until he learns nincs sárga!! 3/6 yellow shirts have been him!  ) Result 0-1
My 2nd big screen game & what a cracker it was.  I'm not convinced by the penalty he gave to my Kispest. Lanzafame was pulling the ZTE players shirt virtually off his back & that player was holding Lanza as well, very much 6 of one, half a dozen of the other.  It did look like the ZTE player may have just clipped Lanza's heal but it's not clear even on replay. Lanza made a very shameful dogs dinner of it though - oscar worthy in fact. Kamber hit it soft and low to the keeper's left who saved & personally I feel justice was done.  Well done Demjén!  Lanza did score an absolute belter of a goal to win the game - we saw the good and bad side of him again today. As a Kispest fan I would have felt very uncomfortable with winning the game on the back of the penalty decision.


DVSC v DVTK - Referee: Bogár Gergő (blue shirt) Result 2-1
My final small screen game but I was speaking to a Loki fan throughout. Looked like a few difficult moments for Mr Bogár. Challenge by a Loki player, a foul imo, Varga went nuts at the ref, he showed a yellow for dissent and afterwards turned away from Varga who was literally screaming blue murder, Varga carried on and walked back in front of the ref, he was very close to him & quite intimidating. Don't know what he was shouting but whatever it was saw him given a straight red. Even without knowing what was said I will call it as a good decision based purely on the players conduct, he was completely out of control at the time and if you are going to literally scream in a referee's face after he has cautioned you then you deserve the early bath. My Loki supporting mate was cussing out his own player not the ref over the call. Couple of times he ended up surrounded by Loki players whinging but he remained calm and level headed. Later he gave a penalty to Loki & it looked a good call. Despite having 10 men Loki managed a 2-1 win and on balance I think it was deserved. No grumbles from Charlie Bácsi over the referee and what I did see he got right and no complaints would have been justified. I do think this young man has a bright future ahead of him, he's only 26/7 but seems wise beyond his years and self assured with no hint of arrogance.  He is inexperienced and players do try to take advantage of that at times. I hope he can continue to progress as he is now, he is being well coached & guided at present.


Ferencváros v Újpest  - Referee: Bognár Tamás (blue shirt) - Result 1-0
The evening game was the big derby and what an absolute cracker of a game it was.  Mr Bognár has to take credit for his and his teams role in that. Completely forgot he was even on the pitch until he stepped in on the rare times he needed to.  He can be very happy with his performance. My team were outstanding, best performance I have seen from them in a long while and if you look up the definition of undeserved win, this game will appear top of the list for an example. Fradi had 1 shot & scored a lucky goal. I am absolutely gutted by the result & it's going to take many many very large glasses of pálinka to get the emotions under control! Proud of my players though, proud of our manager and Mr Bognár was flawless.

Final observation of the evening - chocolate and nut pálinka must be the best thing ever invented, I'm off for another well however many until I am falling down! 

Do you think you could provide us less knowledgeable souls with a glossary of teams, locations and nicknames, please? (When the hangover has gone of course.) It would be appreciated by me, at least, as I have difficulty with all these initials, but I do like maps.

Mol Fehérvár
Fehérvár was founded in 1941 as Székesfehérvári Vadásztölténygyár SK. After several name changes, adopting the term Videoton. On 1 July 2018, the club’s name was changed from Videoton FC to MOL Vidi FC despite strong disagreement of the supporters of the club, however since 1 July 2019, the name has been changed again to Mol Fehérvár FC. At international level, Fehérvár’s biggest success has been reaching the 1985 UEFA Cup Final where they lost to Real Madrid.

Ferencvárosi TC
Ferencvárosi Torna Club, known as Ferencváros were founded in 1899 by Ferenc Springer and a group of local residents of Budapest’s ninth district, Ferencváros.  Ferencváros have played in the NBI since its inception in 1901, except for three seasons between 2006 and 2009.  Ferencváros is the most successful Hungarian team both domestically and internationally. They won the 1964–65 Inter-Cities Fairs Cup, after defeating Juventus 1–0 in Turin, and have won the NBI 30 times and the Magyar Kupa 23 times. They lost to Leeds United in the Inter-Cities Fairs Cup Final in 1968 and to to Dynamo Kiev in the final of the European Cup Winners’ Cup in the 1974–75 season.

Puskás Akadémia
Puskás Ferenc Labdarugó Akadémia, commonly known as Puskás Akadémia FC or simply Puskás Akadémia, were founded in 2005 in Felcsút, Hungary. The aim of the founders was to establish an academy for Videoton (Now MOL Fehérvár) and to establish a fitting memorial to former Hungarian national footballer Ferenc Puskás, despite the team not actually having any academy players or Ferenc Puskás having any links to either Videoton or Felcsút! For this reason alone they are hated and mocked in Hungary with the vast majority of fans refusing to use the made up name and simply referring to them instead as Felcsút. The Prime Minister supports Mol Fehérvár/Videoton or whatever they are actually called this week & is from Felcsút. The football ground is virtually in his garden.

Kisvárda Master Good
Kisvárda FC, later known as Várda SE, were founded in 1911 as Kisvárdai Sport Egyesület (KSE). On 1 April 1970 the football team was merged with other local sports clubs forming the Kisvárda Sports Association. Despite this KSE were closed in 2001 due to financial problems.  A new football club was formed in 2003 called Várda SE was formed in 2003 only in Kisvárda.  In 2013, when the team won promotion to the NB II, the club decided to re-name Kisvárda on the basis of historical traditions and replace the former Várda SE coat of arms. Since the 2013–14 season, the official name of the club is Kisvárda Master Good FC.

DVSC
Debreceni Vasutas Sport Club were formed on 12 March 1902. The club first reached the NBI in the 1943–44 season. Debrecen rose to domestic prominence in the early 2000s when they won their first Hungarian league title in 2004–05 season. Since then the club managed to win seven titles in the 2010s total, making them the most successful club in Hungary since 2000.  At international level, Debrecen reached their biggest success when they managed to reach the 2009–10 UEFA Champions League group stage. The following year the reached the group stages of the 2010–11 UEFA Europa League group stage.

Újpest
Formed in 1885, Újpest, are the longest running football club in Hungary. They reached the first division of the Hungarian League in 1905 and have only been relegated once since then (1910/11). The club has been a member of the first division for 107 consecutive years.  Újpest have been Hungarian champions twenty times, have won the Magyar Kupa ten times and the Szuperkupa three times. In international competitions Újpest are two-times winners of the Mitropa Cup and winners of the 1930 Coupe des Nations. They also reached the semi-finals of the European Cup 1973–74 and the UEFA Cup Winners’ Cup 1961–62, and were runners-up in the Inter-Cities Fairs Cup 1968–69. Since 17 September 1922 their home ground has been the Szusza Ferenc Stadion in Újpest, previously known as Megyeri úti stadium, it was named after the club’s legendary player, Ferenc Szusza in October 2003. They are currently housed temporarily at the Illovszky Rudolf Stadion, whilst undersoil heating is being installed at the Szusza Ferenc Stadion.

Budapest Honvéd
Originally formed in 1909 as Kispest AC, they became Kispest FC in 1926 before reverting to their original name in 1944. The team enjoyed a golden age during the 1950s when it was renamed Budapesti Honvéd SE and became the Hungarian Army team.  The club’s top players from this era, Ferenc Puskás, Sándor Kocsis, József Bozsik, Zoltán Czibor, and Gyula Grosics formed the nucleus of the legendary Hungarian team known as the Mighty Magyars and helped the club win the Hungarian League four times during the 1950s. During the 1980s and early 1990s the club enjoyed another successful period, winning a further eight Hungarian League titles. They also won league and cup doubles in 1985 and 1989. In 1991 the club was renamed Kispest Honvéd FC and adopted its current name in 2003.  At domestic level they first entered the NBI in the 1916–17 season. Their first success came in the 1926 Magyar Kupa season when they beat Budapesti EAC in the final. In total they have won the NB1 14 times and the Magyar Kupa 7 times.

Paks
In 1952 the Paksi Sportegyesület was formed and began competing at a county level in Tolna county. They played at either a county or lower national level until 2006 when they won promotion to the Borsodi Liga, or NB I, for the first time.  In the 2010–11 Hungarian Division Paksi finished second and qualified for the Europa League 2011–12 season. They were knocked out of the competition by Hearts in the 3rd qualifying round, having beaten UE Santa Coloma from Andorra in the 1st qualifying round and Tromsř from Norway in the 2nd qualifying round. This is their biggest success to date.

ZTE
Zalaegerszegi Torna Egylet (ZTE) were formed in 1920 although can trace their roots back to 1912, during the Austro-Hungarian Empire. Their progress was halted by the outbreak of World War I. ZTE’s league history began in 1924, when they joined the Hungarian second division. The club won the title a decade later and entered the top flight in 1934. However, the start of World War II under the regime of Admiral Miklós Horthy saw ZTE’s field and equipment confiscated. After the war, in 1957, ZTE merged with two other local teams, signalling the rebirth of the club.  It was 1994 before ZTE were able to get any real stronghold in the top flight and their only championship win came in season 01/02. In the 2002–03 UEFA Champions League qualifying phase ZTE defeated Croatian champions NK Zagreb on away goals. In the third qualifying round ZTE were faced with Manchester United. In the first leg, ZTE provided a stunning shock by winning 1–0 in Hungary with a last minute goal from Béla Koplárovics. However, in the return leg at Old Trafford, Man United were convincing 5–0 winners. In season 2006–07 ZTE finished third securing a place in the European competitions of the Intertoto Cup 2007.  They were eventually relegated to the NB2 in 2012 and have finally returned to the NB1 after a 7 year absence, having comfortably won the NB2 championship last season.

DVTK
Diósgyőr-Vasgyári Testgyakorlók Köre, more commonly known as Diósgyőri VTK or simply DVTK were founded 6 February 1910. The football club enjoyed its first golden age in the late ’70s and early ’80s, including a third place in the 1978–79 season of the Hungarian League and two Hungarian Cup triumphs in 1977 and 1980. DVTK have spent most of their history in the top tier of Hungarian football. They have never won the championship.  Diósgyőr have many passionate fans and are one of the most supported clubs in Hungary. On 19 July 2014, UEFA issued sanctions against Diósgyőr, following racist behaviour by their fans during the 2014–15 UEFA Europa League qualifying matches against Birkirkara. During the last 2 seasons they have managed to just avoid relegation on the last day of the season.

Kaposvári Rákóczi
Kaposvári Rákóczi FC were formed on 15 August 1923 and are based Kaposvár. The team is named after Rákóczi Ferenc II., a Transylvanian prince and national hero and are often referred to by the the nickname Somogyiak, referring to Somogy County, where the team plays.  Since their formation Kaposvári Rákóczi FC have spent 15 seasons in the NB1, 75/76, 76/77 & 77/78, when they were related back to the NB2, 80/81 and 87/88 both times being immediately relegated after just 1 season in the top flight, their best run in the NB1 came during a 10 season spell from 04/05-13/14.  The club went into a bit of a free fall relegation from the NB1 at the end of the 13/14 season was swiftly followed by relegation from the NB2 in 14/15. Due to licence problems they did not start the following season in the NB3, as the MLSz relegated them to the Somogy county first division for season 15/16. They won that league, going unbeaten all season and took up their place in the NB3 in season 16/17. Having finished 3rd that season they then won promotion back to the NB2 at the end of season 17/18 with a back to back promotion coming at the end of 18/19 signalling their return to the NB1.

That's brilliant. Thank you - now I shall not get my DV's mixed up, and it's cleared up other things, such as Paks having nothing to do with Pécs. Sorry to have put you to so much trouble, though.

No trouble - I appreciate the interest!  There was a time when both Paks and Pécs were in the NBI together, I was still fairly new to it all then & trying to learn who was who so I can fully resonate with the confusion of Paks & Pécs and DVSC & DVTK! The latter 2, even after 10 years of avid following, I do have to stop and think which is which sometimes! Wasn't helped of course with everyone seemingly playing in either green, the most common kit colour or red - those being the colours of the National flag (along with white). Just an occasional blue kit & my Lilák in purple! It's a bit better now but green and red are still the predominant 1st choice for kit colours.  Just as I have finally got my head around all of the Budapest derbies there are now only 3 Budapest clubs in the league!

Not bothered with the translating yet for MD10 but the upside - Kassai back from injury, the downside - Karakó on the Lilák game...

Oh and unless he is on the Sunday game - no #SolymosiWatch for bmb either...
