I do like Mr Karakó, he's only been on the NB1 & FIFA for 6 months now but I feel is a good prospect ...

I wonder who said that on July 8th 2016? Sorry, I couldn't resist it any longer!

Oh boy was I ever wrong!

He did have potential but instead of developing and progressing he has regressed at a rate of knots sadly! He's turned out to be like that exciting youth player who is banging 12 goals in week after week in the youth team but when he makes his way into the 1st team ends up a complete donkey!

MD5

I have #SolymosiWatch just not at the right ground!!! Not sure Nebojša will let me get away with watching his game during the emotion derby! I can watch it on M4 afterwards though  ;D  Curse you Mr Puhl, I was hoping for it to be at the derby - if you could just swap both those teams over in their entirety before kickoff that would be rather ace!! The big match of the weekend instead goes to Mr Iványi, happy enough with that, wise old head and safe pair of hands.  Nice to see Ádám Pillóck get a 2nd game.

Well Mr Puhl didn't come through for me & swap #SolymosiWatch onto the derby! Boo!!!

Mr Iványi wore yellow!!! Bad, bad, bad Mr Iványi! Thankfully he made up for this by putting in an absolute masterclass of a performance!  Absolutely outstanding from start to finish.  When he performs like he did yesterday he is one of the best referees going, certainly at our level anyway.  Decision making was just superb, don't recall a single error. Fair and consistent with both teams, wonderful use of the advantage a couple of times. His man management is brilliant. If I were Mr Puhl, I would show the video of that game to all of our referees and tell them that this is how to referee a tense Budapest derby match and keep it about the football.  Having said that there are a couple of moments that I think only he could have got away with as referee because he has such a great rapport with the players & has their respect.  Uzoma started to throw a tantrum over a fully correct decision against him & Iványi, threw his arms up in the air, then stamped his foot and was saying the Hungarian equivalent of "wah wah wah" at him, Uzoma looked completely shocked and then burst out laughing realising how stupid he himself had looked.  Iványi done the whole throwing his arms up in the air and exaggerated shrug maybe 4 or 5 times during the game, in response to players doing it his way over a decision - it's not a regular tactic he uses but yesterday it worked and every single time it ended in smiles. Later in the game Kukoc was threatening to tip a bottle of water over Iványi, in a playful way and Iványi & the players were in absolute hysterics over it.  Never seen so much laughter on the pitch in a derby game. Only 1 real moment of sheer temper and that was Kukoc, he was in an offside position, great ball forward from Moutari and it seemed an age before Kukoc finally ran onto it & as soon as he did the AR raised his flag. He was obviously moaning about the "late" flag but it was completely correct as Berettyán Péter couldn't raise the flag until he went from being just in an offside position to being actively offside.  It ended Lilák 2, Kispest 3. Great game for the neutral!

I had #SolymosiWatch on a reasonable sized screen beside me & Mr Berke, in blue looked to have a decent game again.  The other 3 games were on screens no more than a couple of inches in size so I can't claim to have watched them properly! I will watch them later on M4. Mr Pillók wore blue, Mr Pintér and Mr Bogár both wore red! There was at least 1 penalty - ZTE match, a goal disallowed in the Felcsút game & plenty of action and incidents to review! None of the press guys though have mentioned anything of real note to me which they normally do, if they think a wrong/bad call has been made.

As we head into the first International break, I thought I'd bore myself with some stats!

We've had 5 match days so far with 28 games played & 2 games postponed to enable the teams to concentrate on/prepare for European games. I do love how the MLSZ always do that. They are so supportive of the teams in Europe and do everything they can to help them prepare.

My most important stat of course is that in the 28 games Black, Red and Blue shirts have been in worn in 9 games each, only 1 blot to an almost perfect stat with 1 yellow shirt appearing - yes I'm glaring at you Mr Iványi!  >:(

The stats someone else may be interested in!

I'm liking the appointments so far, Mr Puhl seems to so far be pushing our young referees this season, which is brilliant. Bence Csonka has made his NBI debut, Ádám Pillók has had his 2nd NBI game following his debut on the last day of last season. Balázs Berke & Gergő Bogár have both refereed 3 matches this season, along with Tamás Bognár. 8 referees have had 2 games each, and Bence Csonka, Ádám Pillók and István Vad have had 1 game a piece. The 2 busiest referees are Csaba Pintér who has 2 games as referee and 5 as AAR and bmb's favourite, Péter Solymosi with 2 games as referee and 4 as AAR.

There has been a total of 130 yellow cards with 59 going to home team players and 71 going to away team players. It's not too much of a surprise the difference between the home & away numbers with Kapsovári, Kisvárda & Puskás Akadémia, the 3 most booked teams having had 3 games away and 2 at home so far. Between them they account for just over 1/3 of the total bookings! There has only been 1 YYR card, going to an away team player and 3 straight reds, 2 going to home team players and 1 to an away team player.  We have seen 9 penalties with 4 going to the home team and 5 to the away team. The stats are pretty even between home & away teams. In terms of results, there has been been 14 home wins, 2 draws and 12 away wins.

Onto individual stats:

Balázs Berke - 3 games (2 blue shirt, 1 black shirt) plus 2 games as AAR - 13YC:6(H);7(A); 1 pen - home team. Results - 2 home wins, 1 away win.
Tamás Bognár - 3 games (1 red shirt, 1 black shirt, 1 blue shirt) - 15YC:9(H);6(A); 1RC (H) and 3 pens 2(H), 1(A). Results 3 home wins. He has given 50% of the penalties so far!
Gergő Bogár - 3 games (2 red shirts; 1 blue shirt) - 13YC:6(H);7(A); 1RC (A) and 1 pen (H).  Results - 2 home wins, 1 draw

Péter Solymosi - 2 games (1 red shirt, 1 blue shirt) plus 4 games as AAR - 7YC:2(H);5(A) - Results 1 home win 1 draw
Viktor Kassai - 2 games (1 red shirt, 1 blue shirt) - 11YC:8(H);3(A);2 penalties both away team. Results 1 home win, 1 away win. He has also done 1 game in SA as referee and 2 as VAR.
Ádám Farkas - 2 games (1 black shirt, 1 blue shirt) plus 2 games as AAR - 8YC:3(H);5(A). Results 2 away wins
Ferenc Karakó - 2 games (1 black shirt, 1 red shirt) plus 3 games as AAR - 8YC:4(H);4(A); 1YYR(A); 1RC (H) and 1 pen (A). Results 1 home win, 1 away win.
Sándor Andó-Szabó - 2 games (2 black shirts) plus 2 games as AAR - 12YC:5(H);7(A). Results - 1 home win, 1 away win.
József Erdős - 2 games (1 black shirt, 1 red shirt) plus 2 games as AAR - 5YC:2(H);3(A) Results - 2 home wins
Csaba Pintér - 2 games (1 blue shirt, 1 red shirt) plus 5 games as AAR - 10YC:4(H);6(A); 1 pen (A). Results - 2 away wins
Zoltán Iványi - 2 games (1 black shirt; 1 vile shirt) plus 2 games as AAR - 11YC:4(H);7(A). Results 1 home win, 1 away win

István Vad - 1 game (red shirt) plus 3 as AAR - 4YC:1(H);3(A) Results - 1 away win
Ádám Pillók - 1 game (blue shirt) plus 2 as AAR - 7YC:3(H);4(A) Results 1 Away win
Bence Csonka - 1 game (black shirt) plus 1 game as AAR - 6YC:2(H);4(A) Results - 1 away win

I look forward to seeing more of Ádám Pillók and Bence Csonka, the continued development of Balázs Berke and #SolymosiWatch every match day!

There was a break from #SolymosiWatch last week with the international break! Surely 1 weekend of depravation is enough!!!

Absolutely bonkers afternoon so far In the NBI with the last match of the day ongoing at the moment.

Újpest v DVSC - Erdős József - Black shirt - Just mental!!!
Some of the ultras turned on the manager this week at a fans forum, missy bmb has yet to calm down about this, it must be said! Nebojša finally dropped the liability that is Pajovic and we started the game with a goalkeeper for the first time this season ;) It went like this: 23 - Lilák 0-1 Loki; 74 - Lilák 1-1 Loki; 85 - Lilák 1-2 Loki; 87 - Lilák 2-2 Loki; 90+4 - Lilák 3-2 Loki! I thought Mr Erdős continued his good start to the season.  I did question Liláks 2nd goal as it looked as if there had been a handball by Feczesin but it was Mr Erdős who was correct not bmb as replays from a different angle to the live view showed there was no contact with the ball and his arm.  Correct penalty given at 90+4 and Feczesin scored his 2nd of the game, 3rd in the last 2 games. He was a late signing in the transfer window & today was his 2nd game - welcome home Feczesin!! Well done Nebojša & the boys. Proud of you! 6 YC in the game - 4 for my team & 2 for Loki. All spot on. Mr Erdős is looking the fittest I have ever seen him, his positioning was spot on again today & he can be pleased with his decent contribution to the game.

Oh and FU VF - you are an embarrassment to our club, keep staying away, we're better off without you!

Budapest Honvéd v Mol Fehérvár - Kassai Viktor - blue shirt
Probably had the easiest & quietest game of all the refs today! Press guy messaged me at half time & said your ref is on fire today - perfection from him! Another one messaged with Viktor has called everything right so far! I'd have to agree with them both. One of those games that flowed beautifully and he was there in the background allowing it to flow but stepping in when needed. 6 YC - 2 for my Kispest & 4 for Vidi - no complaints with any of them. Don't feel he missed anything. Vivi won 1-0 with a beautifully worked goal from Hodzic, Tujel didn't stand a chance of saving it. Mr Kassai & his team can go home happy with their decent contribution to the game. Please dear new owners sack Sannino though, I think I have more tactical nous than him & I don't know my 4-4-2 from my 4-5-1!!!

Kisvárda Master Good v Mezőkövesd Zsóry - Bognár Tamás - blue shirt.
Haven't watched this one properly yet but it will be listed as the highest level of difficulty.  Kisvárda lost their heads over a decision, from what I can gather by 1 press guy.  It led to announcements being made over the tannoy in the stadium "Attention fans please show good sportsmanship". I've not seen the decision, I'll watch the game when M4 upload it later but there were very ugly scenes on the pitch, a coach from 1 team seemed to go for a player from the other and it all kicked off from there with a few handbags being thrown on both sides. After it had calmed back down Bognár and his team were standing on the pitch with 2/3 security guards. I thought they had maybe postponed the game temporarily but eventually they were joined by some players & coaches who re-appeared out of the tunnel, still bitching at each other! He showed Grozav from Kisvárda and Cseri from Mezokovesd a yellow card each and then flashed 2 red cards. I thought initially to coaches who were stood there but it was to Cukalasz from Kisvarda and Karnitskiy from Mezokovesd. Karnitskiy had already been given a YC on 37mins but the card at half time was a straight red not a 2nd yellow. Half time then went ahead. Both teams started the 2nd half with 10 men. Mezokovesd won 2-1.  There were 4 further YC in the 2nd half 3 for the home team & 1 for the away team. I have a feeling the disciplinary committee will sit twice this week - this game alone is going to keep them busy so will probably have a separate sitting. Both clubs can expect hefty fines for the disgraceful scenes in the tech area & Kisvárda another one for their fans behaviour.  I suspect Mr Bognár heaved a huge sigh of relief when he blew the final whistle! I look forward to viewing this one properly!

Puskás Akadémia v Kaposvári Rákóczi - Farkas Ádám - blue shirt
Didn't watch anything of this one at all - Felcsút won 2-0, which is never good!

DVTK v ZTE - Iványi Zoltán - black shirt
DVTK sacked the handsome but not very good Fernando as manager last week. The popular young manager Feczkó was appointed as his replacement, not handsome (in bmb's opinion) but a good manager. He was sacked quite early last season by MTK & everyone was pleased when they subsequently went down, seeing it as the perfect karma! He was immediately tough, kicking out some players & telling the rest of them it was time to start working & earning their wages! They won 1-0.  I took very little notice of it but ZTE were down to 9 men by the end. Both YYR as opposed to straight reds. 2 yellows for the home team, 3 for the away team. Another completely bonkers game I look forward to viewing in full when M4 update their website!

Paks v Ferencváros - Pintér Csaba - bad bad bad Mr Pinter... >:(
Just watching this one now. Fradi have gone in 3-0 up, deservedly so. No bookings - none needed, it's 1 way traffic out there! Despite looking like a lemon, Mr Pintér's decision making has been good & consistent, correct penalty given for Fradi just before half time & he's having a good game out there so far. Good game continued in Fradi's easy 4-0 win. Another straight red to add to the tally!

We have doubled our straight red card count for the season today!

Don't be mean. #SolymosiWatch deserves a break.

There was a break from #SolymosiWatch last week with the international break! Surely 1 weekend of depravation is enough!!!

No #SolymosiWatch this weekend either - it's round 6 of the Magyar Kupa (like the 3rd round of the FA cup). All the NBI teams make their 1st appearance in the cup but it's all NBIII and NBII refs on the games!

3 weekends on the trot of no #SolymosiWatch!!

bmb is not a happy lady!

Thank goodness for the Europa League #SolymosiWatch even if he is 'only' 4th official!!

He'd best be on a game next weekend, preferably a middle and the Újpest game would be a bonus and might just make up for 3 weekends of deprivation!

Mr Puhl can be forgiven, he's back on bmb's Christmas card list!

Only 1 league game this weekend, postponed from MD2 due to European games.

ZTE v Ferencváros
Ref: Solymosi Péter
4O: Király Krisztián
AR: Szert Balázs; Vígh-Tarsonyi Gergő
AAR: Farkas Ádám; Bogár Gergő

Thanks Mr Puhl - you are awesome!

#SolymosiWatch will happily take place tomorrow at 4pm. Very fittingly on the 4th anniversary of Messrs Clattenburg, Marriner & Kassai being collectively dumped and replaced with the lovely Mr Solymosi as bmb's favourite!
