Ok, I'll admit. I prefer bmb happy.

I would like to ask mr Puhl to appoint Solymosi every week. Oh and bin Vad and Karakó. That's it.

Surely you meant to add: ban yellow (and just in case pink) referee shirts to that list Edy! That would make a very very happy bmb! I like the Nike kit so if we are due to switch then that one please! Ban macron! Even better I think we should ditch the commercialised faff kits and have our own unique Hungarian one made by 2Rule - a Hungarian sportswear company & let me design it!!! Nincs Sárga! Nincs rózsaszín!
Hajrá Lilák. Csak a Kispest. Hajrá Magyarok! Hajrá játékvezetői csapat! Soha ne add fel. Nincs sárga kérem!!! No Chris Kavanagh doesn't live in Ashton or even in the Greater Manchester area!!

The nincs sárga continued into match day 3! Iványi in black, Kassai, Pintér & Bogár in blue and Solymosi & Bognár in red! Love this!

Helps take my mind off the fact that Sannino is about as good a manager as Leekens, which is not a good thing! Kispest look dreadful so far this season. Lilák have no striker & a goalie who is well about as good at goalkeeping as Sannino is at managing! bmb is desperate for some NBI cheer!!

Lovely to see the next generation starting out in their careers. In the NBI currently we have II. Tóth Vencel, Kassai's #2 AR who is the son of former referee Tóth Vencel, now a Referee observer for UEFA and II. Vad István, son of former referee & player for Ferenváros, Vad István, who is/was employed by the refs department in some capacity, adding to that family name is Vad Anita sister/daughter of, who is a FIFA listed AR & officiates in the women's league.

Now we have Bognár Tamás daughter starting out in the women's NBI: http://focibiro.hu/cikk.php?id=9934

Gratulálok Réka

I am certain that we will soon see her on the FIFA list, if she follows her daddy's footsteps.

Congratulations and good luck to 27 year old Csonka Bence, from Békés who makes his NBI debut as a referee this week. He has previously been AAR in 19 games and regularly referees in the NBII. He passed the Referee Exam in 2007. His debut was during the spring 2017 in the NB. II.  March 5, 2017 - Szolnok v Sopron match. Since then, he has refereed a total of 32 matches, showing 108 yellow cards and 7 red cards.  Quite a low card average of 3.3 YC/game.

A trial match or he has been promoted?

Good luck to him.

Trial match.  Very pleased to see it.

Mr Puhl looks like he is preparing for our future. 31 year old Pillók given his debut on the last day of last season, in which he performed superbly, the very impressive Bogár being promoted at age 27 & getting regular games and now a 27 year old making his debut. Last season these games would have gone to people like Ádám Németh or Ádám Radványi, both in their mid to late 30's, both dreadful referees and most certainly not our future. I'm genuinely liking this season's Mr Puhl, he's more like the Mr Puhl we had when he first started as head of refereeing. He went through a bit of a cynical, not caring phase (looking from the outside in) for a few seasons & I wonder if he was a bit burnt out but this season he seems to be more dynamic again, like he has a new renewed determination.

No #Solymosi watch this weekend though - unless he is on the Sunday game!!! Hope the nincs sárga continues as well!!!

So to today's games:

Ádám Farkas (blue shirt) - Steady performance from Mr Farkas.  Only 2 teams really turned up for the game and neither of them were Kispest... Loki were by far the better team & fully deserved their 3-2 win. Penalty shout from Kispest near the end after Lanzafame went down like a sack of spuds in the box, Farkas was quite correct to wave it away, never a penalty. Kukoc's long extracted protests were an utter embarrassment and he fully deserved to go into the book for dissent. Perhaps next week he could try putting as much energy into playing as he did into berating the referee for a correct decision, that would be nice... Actually scratch that if he could even put in half the amount of energy into playing next week, he'd do a lot better than he did today! Only realised he was actually on the pitch because he was running his mouth off!! One other booking for Kispest in Lanzafame, correct call, 2 bookings for Loki - Trujic & Kusnyir, both correct. None I felt he missed. Both of Lanzafame's goals for Kispest were beauts - the 1st one was a lovely 1-2 between him and Moutari and the 2nd was a peach of a free kick. Goal of the game though was the winner from Kevin Varga for Loki. Mr Farkas & his team can be happy with their contribution to the match. Kispest on the other hand can't. 4 games 4 defeats.

József Erdős (red shirt): Now it's bad enough when 1 of your teams is utterly crap but when it's both of them *sigh*. I think my Lilák thought the game was at home, as they never made an appearance at Kisvarda. As per the game above only 2 teams turned up & again it was the team that I support who failed to turn up! Absolutely zero complaints with Mr Erdős today. He had a good start to the season with his middle on MD1 & that continued. His positioning again was excellent & his decision making fair & consistent to both teams. Hope he can carry on this way, I have been critical of him in the past but felt last season he was our most improved referee and I'm really liking what I have seen from him this season so far. Only 1 booking for Burekovic of Lilák, which was spot on.  Grozav from Kisvárda is on absolute fire right now, his 1st goal was down to crap defending and Lilák not having a goalkeeper on the pitch (Pajovic was in in goal and quite why our coach persits with him is beyond me!), his 2nd goal however was an absolute stunner. 5 goals in 4 games now from Grozav - wonder if it's too late to change my prediction for the top scorer of the season in the prediction league!

Bence Csonka (black shirt): I am so delighted for this young man. What a fantastic NBI debut for him   It was not an easy game, Vidi are known for their constant mouthing off, surrounding the ref at every opportunity & basic bad behaviour but he handled them so well. The best one for me was when a Vidi player, can't remember who, had gone down like a sack of spuds and was feigning injury and he didn't fall for it only to have Nego mouthing off constantly right in his face, he simply very calmly pulled out his yellow and booked Nego - I actually applauded him & Nego looked very shocked that his bullying and intimidation attempt had failed!! His team mate who had seconds before been dying jumped up the second the yellow card came out to berate the ref - funny that!! Seemed he wasn't dead after all... 3 other yellows for Vidi - Futacs, Fiola & Hodzic all fully deserved & correct calls. 2 yellows for Paks - Fejes & Balogh & no complaints with those either.  Couple of 50/50's I felt should have gone the other way but very minor stuff. He was strong, decisive, refused to allow Vidi to bully or intimidate him & overall he was excellent. He looks about 12, tall, very slim and his fitness is superb.  Positioning was mostly decent and his decision making consistent to both teams. He did also book Marko Nikolic, Vidi's head coach which did make me laugh! He's a lovely guy but sometimes you can see where the players get their constant whining from and it was good to see him get pulled up on it for once.  Vidi won 2-0 with 2 superb goals, Futacs with the 1st on 24 mins (hope you were watching Mr Rossi, it's about time he was brought into the national team) and Petryak with the 2nd on 61 mins. Young Mr Csonka can be very proud of himself tonight.

Sándor Andó-Szabó (black shirt): Steady performance from Mr Andó-Szabó. He just got on with the job and did it well. I didn't watch this one too closely to be honest but I saw nothing that that anyone could complain about. He's a steady but not spectacular ref and a safe pair of hands more often than not. 5 yellows - Ternovan, Ndzoumou & Hasani for the home team and Vadnai & Zivzivadze for the away team which all looked spot on. Mezokovesd won 3-0, Nagy, Karnitskiy and Cseri with the goals. From being last season's whipping boys they currently sit 2nd in the league with 4 wins out of 4!  Mr Andó-Szabó can be happy with his & his teams performance.

Ferenc Karakó (red shirt): Oh dear, oh dear, oh dear... At best I'd give him 7.6 for the game & that is me being generous. Just dreadful.  The sooner Mr Puhl kicks him out to the Debréte* Sunday league 27th division the better.  Another game, another complete embarrassment. I always thought Mr Puhl had more self respect myself but the fact he continues to persist with Karakó is just beyond me. He must see something I can't & I have tried looking with a magnifying glass & still can't find it...

*Debréte for those who don't know is one of, if not the smallest villages in Hungary with a population of 10! Well 10 plus 1 donkey called Dezső. It's 250km from Budapest, located in in Borsod county, northeast Hungary, in the mountains of the Hungarian-Slovak borderlands. There is 1 bus per day from Miskolc, the postie, food merchant & gas bottle guy visit every other day & they have about 1 outsider visit every 2 weeks or so!

Ferenc Karakó (red shirt): Oh dear, oh dear, oh dear... At best I'd give him 7.6 for the game & that is me being generous. Just dreadful.

Right I have had a re-read of the LOTG, just to check if my opinion was correct or if I was just being harsh because I do not rate Mr Karakó. I have also asked the opinion of 1 senior UEFA referee observer (and observer instructor) & 2 current FIFA refs again just to make sure I am not being biased, as I know I can be! My question to them was "is this a correct pen or not?" None of the 3 of them I asked, knew who the ref was or my dislike of him. They knew neither team in the game are supported by me.  All 3 said NO penalty.

So to explain - striker blasted the ball against a defenders arm from about 1 foot (if that) away. Penalty for handball was given.  I felt at the time it was not correct in Law. Defender was on his way to the ground, due to the twist of his body part of the arm could possibly be considered above his shoulder, but it was not making his body bigger, it was part of the twisting motion of him going from his back to his side in the air so his hands/side were the first to hit the floor not his back! Striker who could have kicked the ball passed or over him, doesn't & deliberately kicks it at the defenders arm. He's already on his way down & twisting in the air, no way he can avoid the ball, deliberately kicked at him to win a penalty.  Game was 0-0 at that point. Resultant penalty makes it 1-0, team with renewed confidence go on to win 4-0. So according to 3 people far more qualified than I it was a key match error.

I will add he had already given a red card at this point & I think the red was a correct decision. Foot catching a player at chest height & have no gripes with that decision at all. The penalty however I did. The 10 man team were on top in the game up until that point. They were wronged with the penalty decision against them & it completely changed the course of the game.

There were other decisions but I don't have 4 hours spare to list them all. Again he was weak, decision making random & inconsistent, he did get the red card right but it was the exception rather than the rule regarding his decision making. Positioning awful. Zero man management skills.

#SolymosiWatch on the Sunday game - thanks Mr Puhl  :-*

Ref: Berke Balázs

AAR: Solymosi Péter, Pintér Csaba

In contrast to the above, what a breath of fresh air this young man is.  Important things 1st - he wore black! Knowledge and application of the Laws of the Game - superb, positioning excellent, strong, decisive. Played an absolutely sublime advantage in the lead up to Fradi's goal. Decision making consistent for both teams. Absolute joy to watch. Incident in the 2nd half where Fradis goalie parried the ball out straight onto the arm of Henty, who pushed it onto his other arm & used that one to push to his feet to take a shot, I think it possibly even hit a Fradi players arm on it's way into the net! Whistle went straight away & goal correctly disallowed. For some reason one of the Fradi players kicked off, maybe he thought the decision was a penalty but he managed to talk himself straight into the book. Not sure if it was Berke or Pintér behind the goal who called the handball but Berke certainly whistled pretty quickly so I'd guestimate it was him. He also gave a penalty against Fradi, brief moan from the goalie who tried to claim he had played the ball & not really hauled the Felcsút player down. Fradi lost 4-1. Their fans who being big conspiracy theorists (they are the big team in Hungary) were by and large saying what a well officiated game it was. That's quite something as even when they win they claim referee corruption!

Oh yeah & #SolymosiWatch was included!  ;D

Sounds like a good debut for Bence Csonka and another poor performance by Ferenc Karakó.
