Edy what is our allocation in terms of Cat 2 & 3? I know we have 6 in total, 1 elite, 2 Cat 1 but not sure on the Cat 2 & 3 make up for the other 3?

Elite: Victor Kassai
1st Group: Tamas Bognár, Istvan Vad.
2nd Group: Ádám Farkas
3rd Group: Balázs Berke, Ferenc Karakó

Berke is new FIFA with only 6 months on the list. He is very difficult to be promoted on 2nd group. It is more likely next summer as long as he continues a good development (that means more appointments on the league).

I agree about Vad. He should be demoted. Or removed from the list to open space. He never recovered from the mistake on Euro 2012. Bognar is definitely no2 now.

Can we have 2 at Cat 2 & 1 at Cat 3, was more what I meant by in terms of what is our allocation. I now we currently have 2 Cat 3 & 1 Cat 2.

Berke should have been promoted instead of Karakó, who is not fit to lace his boots for him. Never did understand why an unknown NB2 ref was given his white badge ahead of a really exciting youngster.  He'd been on the FIFA list 2 months before he was promoted to the NB1 & he is dreadful 9/10! Watching him now & he has been completely ineffective & weak again.  He has allowed my team to foul Remili about 30 times so far & not even a word, clear dive from Batik - nothing. It's like watching an amateur league referee.

You're right on Vad. There again I have always considered Bognár ahead of him, even pre his huge error in 2012!

You can have all of them at 2nd Group. There is no limit. I remember a case where Romania had 4 2nd Group and none on 3rd Group (thanks to Kyros).

If you deem Karakó as non-fit, then IMO he should be removed. But the real issue is that Hungary should search for referees born 1987-1988 to put on the list. They will have more chances to progress on the categories if they are 32-33-34.
I know that I know nothing
