Every time I think this league can not get anymore bonkers, it gets even more bonkers!  The results have made a complete mockery of the predictions league , don't think any of us have got any points again this round! LOL

1st up tonight was Mezokovesd 0-1 Debrecen. This takes both the fight for 3rd spot and the relegation battle to the last game.  It did look for a long while that it was going to be a game of who could have the most goals disallowed!! Mezokovesd had 2 disallowed one for a foul on the keeper and one correctly for offside. The first I am torn, I think keepers get too much protection as it is but then he did knock him flying as they both went for the ball. No way could it be called an incorrect decision though. Loki also had 1 correctly disallowed for offside.  Both of them fell foul of Mr Tóth's flag - 2 huge and correct calls from probably our top AR now Mr Ring has retired. Well done Mr Tóth, a masterclass from him. Kuttor was having an absolutely disgusting rant on the TV post match about the referee costing them the game & Europe. No your team cost you the game when they let in a goal & didn't score more than the other team. Vile creature. Hope he spends the last game sat at home watching on TV because he has a touchline ban...

Then the double header. Kisvarda 1-1 Felcsút on the top screen. Well #SolymosiWatch in red... It's going to take priority! Sadly Felcsút equalised right at the end :( Kisvarda had a pen shout disallowed, not entirely convinced that Mr Pintér was right, there was a bit of shoving & pushing each way and Viana went down like a sniper had got him, which is why I think Mr Pintér deemed it a coming together and no penalty. I think there was probably enough for one to be given but will add that is with the benefit of replays which Mr Pinter did not have. Bodog, the manager went mental & highlight of the match was seeing him get a yellow, have never forgiven his conduct towards the lovely Mr Solymosi about 3/4 seasons ago! Kisvarda did also have a correct penalty given to them, which was saved. They scored soon after.

I will mention here that the 4th official had water for team ref during the drinks breaks! Thank you Mr Puhl for giving them a reminder. Neither of the AARs had any but they were both in shade. It was reassuring to see it available.

In the bottom screen was Kispest 4-2 Kaposvar. Looked to be a decent debut for Mr Antal.  He did get in the way of play 2/3 times quite badly but his decision making was decent enough. He has a lovely manner about him, calm and relaxed and a lovely big smile on his face. Several incidents where he was seen sharing a few words and a smile with players, they liked him and responded to him well. Needs to adjust his positioning a bit, the NBI is a bit faster than the NBII but he was decent overall. Well done Mr Antal. Nice to see Mr Erdős back and clad in blue behind the goal line! Kispest are now safe and Kaposvár are down - yes!!! I may have mentioned once or twice that I can't wait to see the back of them! Their 2 delightful coaches were not happy with the ref but then Missy bmb is more likely to ask Mr Puhl to put the lovely Mr Solymosi in yellow every game next season than they are to take responsibility for their lack of tactics & we all know the former will never happen!

Final game of the round was Paks 4-2 DVTK. Where has this Paks come from? Absolute cracker of a game and another very assured performance from young Mr Bogár. DVTK confirmed safe tonight despite losing!

So to Saturday!

  • Debrecen need to win v Paks to stay up, if they draw or lose regardless of other results then they go down.
  • Paks need to beat or draw with Debrecen to stay up
  • If Kisvarda lose to DVTK and Debrecen win then Kisvarda will go down.
  • If Kisvarda win & Debrecen win & Lilák lose by 3 or more goals then Lilák will go down.
  • Mezokovesd now need to beat Fradi and hope Felscút lose or draw v Honvéd for them to take 3rd spot & the remaining EL place.
  • Felcsút need to beat Honvéd to finish 3rd, a draw or loss will be enough if Fradi beat Mezokovesd.

Another bonkers day to look forward to!

It has also crossed Missy bmb's mind that this Saturday could see the retirement of the lovely Mr Solymosi. I am desperately hoping that is not the case. Please Mr Puhl talk him into 1 more season. He is still one of the best performers week in/week out, he's too good to lose whilst he is still fit enough to carry on & he has shown that he is.
