Congratulations/Gratulálok to Fradi for officially winning the title tonight.

Top place sorted/bottom place sorted just places 2-11 to decide now!

Vid *should* take 2nd place, they are 10 points clear of 3rd but are not playing well so who knows! They play Debrecen tomorrow who need a win to pull clear of the 2nd relegation spot.

3rd place (and the final EL spot) could still be taken by anyone from 3rd to 6th (Mezokovesd, Felcsút, DVTK or Honvéd) in table realistically but as low as 9th in the table mathematically! I'm hoping Mezokovesd can hang on in there, they deserve it across the season. I need them to lose tomorrow though because my Lilák need a win! If DVTK could beat Felcsút as well please or at least that game end in a draw!

Anyone from 7th - 11th realistically (ZTE, Újpest, Kisvarda, Paks or Debrecen VSC) can still be the 2nd team to be relegated but mathematically the teams in 4th - 6th could go down still depending on results! 4 more games to play still this round & all of them big at one end of the table or another! Of those more likely I would prefer it to be Paks or Kisvarda relegated. For the one and only time it will happen - I would like a Kaposvár win tomorrow! It will help my Lilák!

Exciting evening of football ahead tomorrow.

Phew what an evening!

Vidi have now secured 2nd place and a spot in the Europa League qualifiers next season with a 1-0 win over Debrecen.

3rd spot and the final Europa spot is still wide open - Mezokovesd in 3rd drew with my Lilák, Felcsút in 4th now have the same number of points (47) after beating DVTK. DVTK are 5th on 41 points, Honvéd 6th also on 41 points. Any of them can still take 3rd depending on results.

ZTE are 7th on 39 points - mathematically they could still finish 3rd but would need to win their last 3 and have the 4 above mentioned teams lose all 3, which is not going to happen - even in the NBI!  They could also still be relegated mathematically, if they lose all 3 games left & everyone below them wins their last 3 - again not going to happen! They should be safe now.

The draw (the equaliser from super sub Koszta with 30 seconds of TAO to go) sees my Lilák move into 8th place on 37 points. Paks beat Kaposvár (no surprise) and are now 9th also on 37 points. Neither are fully safe from relegation yet.

Kisvárda are 10th on 35 points and Debrecen in 11th in the final relegation spot on 32 points. It doesn't look good for Loki :( I'd rather of the 2 Kisvárda go down, I don't like their manager for a start and Loki are one of the big teams, it would be a big loss to the NBI if they go down.

Can I just re-mention good riddance to Kaposvár - refs fault they lost tonight due to his 2 perfectly correct penalty decisions! One was for handball and yes it was harsh but it was correct within the LOTG, stick your elbow out and you're going to have a penalty against you. The 2nd was for a foul. Maybe try teaching your players the LOTG and to not foul the opposition eh... Can't wait to see them gone. Horrible, horrible little club who have bought absolutely nothing to the league all season!

Shirt wise it was not a good night - I am not happy with you Mr Puhl - be warned! #SolymosiWatch was in black, he could however have worn my favoured red but as I love the black kit, I am not overly bothered.  Vad & Karakó both in yellow - like I need yet another reason to not like them! Pintér wore blue. He had a steady game.

I have however noticed with great disappointment that respect has gone right out of the window under the new coach. When Nebojša was there the players were fined for any dissent & instructed quite clearly ahead of kick off that they were to show the referee respect even if they disagreed with a decision. The last 2 games in particular they have been dreadful for dissent. Perosevic tonight, wraps his arm around another players throat from behind and hauls him to the floor, as clear of a yellow card offence are you going to see. He then spent 30 seconds yelling at Mr Pintér for quite correctly issuing the yellow card, I was almost disappointed he didn't immediately get a 2nd yellow for dissent, but with my team still 1-0 down at the time it would have cost us the game. Lucky for him Mr Pintér has more tolerance than me! Might check if I can still access the computer and issue him with a fine! Haha!

Edited to add it appears that Boli was send off for debrecen after the final whistle. No-one seems to know why and it does not appear in any match reports in the sports press or of the Federations official site at this stage! M4 noticed a small glimpse of Vad showing him a red - literally about 1 second of footage. He had been given a yellow which he was unhappy with so my assumption is that he then received a 2nd yellow for dissent but whatever it was all happened off camera. Guess we will find out when the disciplinary committee meet tomorrow! The manager didn't have a clue what had happened he mentioned the yellow card but had no idea as to how or why the red had been shown. 2 Red cards tonight - both by yellow shirted wearing referees...

Roll on another 3 days of NBI on Friday, Saturday & Sunday! Be nice Mr Puhl!

Eredmenyek has it as a straight red. Seems he wasn't booked. Loki were on the attack, a rarity in itself. He decided he had been fouled and instead of crossing the ball so his team mates could take a pot on goal he decided to stop and argue with the referee instead.  Must have been really something he said to Vad for it to have been a straight red.

3 match ban handed out by the disciplinary committee today and that's him done for the season.  Idiot.  His manager is furious with him.

Surprised, but pleased the biggie of the round goes to Mr Bogár. Fine young referee and my tip for our future elite ref. Going to be a cracking derby. No crowd restrictions in place so potentially a full house of ultras, a pyro display to rival guy fawkes night. The home team on a high after deservedly winning the championship, the away team fighting to pull away from the relegation zone and both fiercely hated rivals on a good day! Hajrá Lilák!!!

ZTE confirmed their status in the NBI for next season with a fine 2-0 win tonight over Kispest.  Was a cracker of a game. Couple of excellent advantages from the red clad Mr Pintér who had a decent game.  One sprint from him in the first half was a sight to see - long ball punted up field to the very nippy Radó & Mr Pintér would have given Bolt a run for his money the way he zoomed up the pitch & caught up! Impressive!

Roll on tomorrow! Hoping for Mezőkövesd win, Paks defeat & for Lilák to spoil the champions party at Fradi with a win! Not sure the last one is a real possibility but hey ho! Hajrá Lilák!

Mr Karakó continuing his excellent season with another key match error. Garai was so far behind play for Vidi's goal I thought he'd gone in for his break early, time he caught up the ball was in the back of the net from the 4 feet offside Vidi player.  YYR card as well, only seen the 2nd yellow which was correct but another game with Mr Karakó and a key match error. How is he still an NBI referee let alone a FIFA one?

Another completely bonkers evening in the NBI!

3rd spot is now between Mezokovesd and Felcsút who are currently 3rd & 4th respectively on 50 points apiece. Their midweek games are against sides still battling it out in the relegation spots. Mezo play Loki (Debrecen) in 11th spot & still the most vulnerable, Felcsút play Kisvárda who are in 8th spot & 3 points clear of Decrecen.  Kisvárda beat Kaposvár 2-1 today, as expected. Loki however showed they have some fight left and unexpectedly beat DVTK 4-0!  Mathematically DVTK (6th - 41 points) & Honvéd (7th 41 points) could still be the 2nd team to go down, they'd have to lose both of their last games though & everyone below them win their last 2. It is highly unlikely that it can or will come to that in reality - far too many variables. Kisvárda are 8th on 38 points, Újpest 9th on 37 points, Paks 10th on 37 points & Debrecen in 11th on 35 points. The midweek games just got huge!

Tues:
Vidi v Fradi - no longer important in any way it's 2nd v 1st and just points/pride to play for
Újpest v ZTE - ZTE secured their safety this weekend, my Lilák need to win this one to take the relegation battle to the last weekend

Weds:
Mezovovesd v DVSC - Mezo need to win to try and take 3rd & the last EL spot, Debrecen need to win & take the relegation battle to the last games at the weekend
Honvéd v Kaposvár - A win for Honvéd secures their safety mathematically, Kaposvár already down
Kisvarda v Felcsút - Kisvarda need a win to take the relegation battle to the last weekend, Felcsút need to win to try & take 3rd spot & the last EL spot
Paks v DVTK - Paks need a win to take the relegation battle to the last weekend, a win for DVTK secures their safety mathematically.

Just for completeness the final games at the weekend: Kick off times not decided yet - normally though all games kick off the same time if there are things to be decided still on the last day - the * is partially/largely dependent upon midweek results
Fradi v Mezokovesd *could affect 3rd spot & the last EL spot
DVTK v Kisvarda *could affect relegation
Felcsút v Honvéd *could affect 3rd spot & the last EL spot
Újpest v Kapsvár *could affect relegation
ZTE v Vidi - only game that won't affect any outcome aside of the exact final place for ZTE
Debrecen v Paks *could affect relegation

If 2 teams end up on the same number of points the position is decided in this order:
1. number of wins
2. goal difference
3. goals scored
4. points gathered against each other
5. goal difference against each other
6. away goals against each other
7. better fair play position in the league
8. random draw

Onto this weekends refereeing!

Mr Bogár had an absolutely fantastic game in the big Budapest derby. Excellent and very assured performance from one of our young hopefuls. He most definitely repaid Mr Puhl's faith in him to handle the match & it was a delight to see. Fradi won 1-0,  a deserved victory, they were the better side. All 3 teams played their part in making it a fantastic derby match to watch, even for those of us on the losing side!!

Csaba Pinter & Balázs Berke both put in decent performances in their respective games. Nothing really of note to mention in either match.

I've mentioned Karakó above & there was no improvement on that 2nd half.

Today's games.

Easy game for Mr Farkas, it was so one sided! I do have a bet on how Kaposvár will dress up the howler by their keeper, who came bombing out of the area and weakly headed the ball into the path of a striker who said thank you very much and helped it into the net! My bet is they will moan that 2 players were offside (they were in offside positions when the long ball was played), the ball sailed around 10/15 feet ahead of them when the keeper did his weak header right into the path of one of them to score. No offside but this is Kaposvár & they never take responsibility! My biggest complaint is that #SolymosiWatch, whist in black did not include very much Solymosi! Kaposvár only ventured into the half he was in, where they were attacking in the 2nd half, once or maybe twice. He & the Kisvárda keeper could have snuck off for a pint & no-one would have noticed their absence!

Mr Bognár showed why he is our top referee in the Debrecen v DVTK game. A few incidents in this one that he handled with calmness, common sense and a quiet authority.  Of the incidents there was a bit of brattiness brewing between Kiss of DVTK & Szátmari of Loki, they're both only 18/19 & were behaving a bit like children. They had a bit of a run in, no foul but niggling each other a bit, Szátmari turned, Kiss was behind him and he knocked Kiss over. Purely accidental, he'd spun to go up field and Kiss was right up his butt as he found when he spun round.Kiss made a bit of a meal of it, Szátmari didn't react to that well and when Kiss stood up pushed him over & then did it again when he stood up the 2nd time.  Szátmari was rightly booked, it was petulant and childish.  Literally within a couple of minutes there was an attack on the Loki goal, Kosickly (Loki's goalie) went to ground holding the ball, at that point no player had a right to go for it, Kiss decided instead to kick Kolsicky around the shoulder/chest area. Petulant, brattish and very poor form. Kolsicky jumped up and literally got hold of Kiss by the throat, and lifted him off the pitch. Kiss looked like he absolutely bricked himself, he was petrified! Hopefully it will have taught him to not deliberately kick a goalkeeper who is on the floor with the ball pulled into him again in the future!!! Kolsicky was lucky not to see red. Bognár took the time to speak to the players and his AAR to establish exactly what had happened and in particular Kolsicky - he's not an aggressive player and it was an extreme out of character reaction from him. Having spoken to them all he booked Kiss for the kick, quite rightly. My only disagreement is that whilst he managed the situation very well & used man management to calm things down again I do think Kolsicky should also have seen a yellow. I can understand his reaction but grabbing a brat around the throat is not really the way to deal with it! Loki were 3-0 up at that point and it wasn't too long after he correctly awarded them a penalty and it became 4-0. Most importantly he wore black!

Well I am furious right now and no not with Vad - the game only kicked off 1 minute ago! he is in red, Mr Berke wore blue.

My fury is with Fradi, well their fans who were stood there 'proudly' displaying the aryan greens flag all game... Shame on Vidi as well for not removing it. Complaints submitted to UEFA, the MLSZ & both clubs. Angry bmb is angry!!

Fair play to the Fradi supporter refereeing our game though, apart from his mere presence he's not done anything wrong in the first 12 mins!

And yes it did take me 11 mins to write that LOL
