Great to see Handley back in action - he must’ve been out for quite a while? Seems an age since I saw his name on an appointment!

Also another notable returnee, Helen Edwards. Fantastic to see that she has made a full recovery and is ready to resume her officiating career!

And Darren Bond.

Burton Albion FC (First Team) v Crewe Alexandra FC (First Team)
Football League 1
Referee: Wright, Peter
Assistant Referee: Amphlett, Marvyn
Assistant Referee: Clayton, Alan
Fourth Official: Mather, Simon  Handley, Darren   Hughes, Kenwyn

Red card for Crewe manager David Artell after he confronted Peter Wright at half time (Crewe News). I'm unsurprised that the clash arose over a perceived foul and the direction of a throw-in. When will the likes of David learn that they're supposed to be setting an example? .

Darren Handley had already come off 4O duties for this game and, as his game the other day fell victim to covid, it presumably means that he has still not taken to the field this season on the EFL. Like James Adcock, it will be interesting to see when Darren actually makes his comeback.

Thank you. With all the changes, I hadn't spotted that one!

No problem.

Talking of absent officials, where's Antony Coggins? He hasn't been seen since 9th October, according to Soccerbase.
