As a Posh fan, thought John Busby was good last night. Spot on with the red card (both yellow card offences), it was good to see a referee actually issue a caution when deserved early in the game. The penalty was certainly correct as well. Based on the performance and appointment i can imagine he is having a good season.
As one who had the good fortune to be in the ground last night I would second that opinion.  As well as the points you make, he was also very insistent on throws being taken from the right place without being pedantic.  It didn't take too long for the players to catch on and do it without prompting.  In a game where both sides at different times would have gained an advantage by time-wasting, there was none to speak of, leading me to assume that he managed that aspect successfully and unobtrusively.  His efforts to go the extra few yards to get close to the action, particularly in neutral corners, didn't go unnoticed either (by me anyway).  I would quibble with the yellow card shown to Frankie Kent for the concession of the penalty and was also surprised that Nathan Thompson didn't receive one for persistent fouling but other than that it was very good evening's work.
