AR Paul Stonier retired after appearing to be hit by a missile at Gresty Road, Crewe v Rotherham, this afternoon.  He carried on for about 10-15 mins after being hit on the head but then swopped with 4O Conor Brown for the remainder of the match. The missile appeared to come from the Rotherham contingent and their skipper went across to the fans to talk to them before the game resumed. I imagine Rotherham will be hearing from the FA in the next few days, and this is something which clearly cannot be allowed to go unpunished. The security at Crewe must also come into question.

For the record, Rotherham won 2-0 in a game which they dominated throughout and Crewe ended with 10 men following a 2nd yellow for a clumsy challenge. Referee Benjamin Speedie did OK in a game which was sometimes niggly, but was certainly not the best ref I've seen in recent times at Gresty Road.

Certainly not happy to read this. Whoever threw it is no fan

This coming a couple of weeks after a fab was able to confront an assistant at the same venue. Might not just be Rotherham hearing from the fa!

Four away penalties given by Madley at Gillingham today. Must be a new record surely for that statistic?

All Correct as well, so well done to Bobby as some refs would have ignored them considering the scoreline

Blimey if they had VAR for the penalties and Darren England had been VAR official the match would have still been going now! 🤪

Kelvin Morton gave five penalties in the Crystal Palace v Brighton game in 1989. However, four were for the home side.
