From what I’ve seen here I am not confident of Mr Marsden’s ability in an important relegation match. Whilst I am not trying to sound like Mr Warnock, I cannot help but feel the game should have gone to a more experienced referee.

Ben Toner 4th Official on Saturday for Grimsby Town, then Referee on Boxing Day. Strange, can't remember similar before.

Also Mr Sarginson all the way to Exeter on 29th !  Must be for the china clay to take back to Stafforshire  LOL.

Two rookies coming up for Peterborough in the shape of Mr.Marsden and Mr.Bramell, who I admit I know nothing about.

Perhaps the appointments committee think our delightful Mr.Evans will be full of seasonal cheer.

In Marsden's case it is hopefully punishment for his wretched performance at Roots Hall in the Cup. Comfortably the worst newbie I've seen for many a year. Email of apology received at Roots Hall this week.

Mr Marsden with the L2 basement 6-pointer at Notts County this Saturday. Will the Sol factor take effect again for Macclesfield? Also on Saturday a top of L1 clash at Pompey (v Sunderland) for SG2 Peter Bankes.

I may get to see Sarginson and/or Backhouse at Gresty Road over the festive period. I've seen Chris before but not Anthony.

I'm sure I'm not alone in wanting to thank aaa for (?) his sterling efforts in getting all the appointments to us in a timely and orderly fashion. Perhaps a bit of copy and paste about it, but not a job I would want to do each week, and particularly with all the appointments over the festive period

Apologies, the basement battle in L2 is on Boxing Day

An AR - on the far side from the dugout so was probably Ken Haycock - hobbled off after just 5 minutes play at Crewe v Stevenage and was replaced by 4O Matt Corlett, with the stricken AR acting as 4O for the rest of the game.

I must admit aswell I was impressed by his replacement Mr Farrell - Calm and Composed, refereed the entire 70 mins (ish) with a smile on his face.

Second red card in three days for Anthony Backhouse (at Crewe and Oldham). Learning the trade from Charles Breakspear perhaps?

Not really. Both looked like nailed-on decisions.

I would have thought Kettle would have been a leading contender before Joyce....

Barton has been charged by the FA for post match comments on Mr Huxtable at the game at Bristol Rovers...

I'm pretty sure this won't be the last time he has an FA charge thrown in his direction. Perhaps he is attempting to take over Colin's incessant moaning in the media.
