James Bell switches roles with Sam Barrott, presumably because Bell is a Sheffield Wednesday fan and Ipswich aren't happy with him being on their game.  Sensible decision, should never really have been appointed at this stage of the season.

Looks like Nield went off injured this afternoon - puts his Championship appearance in doubt midweek.

Crewe V Walsall. Carl Boyeson (imo) had a great game today and got most decisions correct. The second yellow card for the away team was the correct call as he elbowed the Crewe midfielder (unintentionally I think.) The only yellow I was confused at was booking Crewes number 2 for a foul because, all though I was on the opposite side of the pitch, it looked like the Walsall attacker ran into Mellor(booked) and made it so he fouled him. Carl also sent off the Walsall assistant - manager, presumably for dissent. Well done Carl and his team for a great 90 minutes of officiating 👍

Not sure why Seb Stockbridge didnt send gk off @ Oxford! Whilst it was a genuine attempt to play ball (albeit with his head) the gk fouled the opponent outside the area, covering defender would not got to the ball first. If that had been a defenders foul, with only gk to beat, would have been red all day (see sending off @ Ipswich)

Rebecca Welch was very good at Carlisle Northampton. By far the best National list referee we’ve had this year

Spotland debuts for Messrs Swabey (nice long journey) and Tallis.

Indeed that’s a clunky mileage claim from Cornwall to Spotland!

Cornwall? Did you say Cornwall ? Pfft please check your geography and try again. Tut tut
