Unfortunately I will not be there, although I was at Stevenage when he produced the yellow eight times and a second yellow once...

Was not over impressed with Sam Purkiss at Crewe yesterday, never really showed any real authority, with the Oldham players when they questioned his decisions, throughout the game, and gave some strange decisions against both teams. However, my biggest concern was his inconsistency in foul detection especially with 9\5 challenges..some forearm smashes were let go, whilst sometimes could were given for no reason at all.

His whole approach meant that players and fans were frustrated leading to further cautions.

For an experienced official he really did seem to lose control at times

My views on Mr Haines are well known and I think m'learned friend TVOS now concurs with me.

Someone in authority should be quietly suggesting to him that it's time he hung up his whistle, at least as far as the NL is concerned.

He was rubbish on Boxing Day, but he’s normally just below average.
