Sorry to say but this is the worst display I have seen this season by a referee! Totally inept performance.

What's he doing wrong?

1. Did not see a ball that was at least 1 meter out.
2 Failed to book two player for simulation (did give fee kick for one)
3. Booked a player who then clapped him, got yellow card out again , then bottled it.
4. Failed to give free kicks for two high boots.
5. Stopped play after looking like he was playing advantage as player was one on one with keeper.
6. Stood between two player having a confrontation then didn't book either.
7. Even the player didn't t know whitch way he had given some free kicks.
8. I could go on......

Would be interested in seeing assessors report (Or be a fly one the wall when the managers speak to him).

As I said before, totally inept performance.  Nothing consistent except inconsistency.

Perhaps Mr Bourne was having a bad day, happens to all of us. I watched him in the middle Colchester v Rovers and while he let a few things go which others would have blown up for, felt he did ok in that game.

Re 1. where was the ball "at least a metre out"?

Behind the goal line (not between posts)

Goalkeeper recovered ball, everyone stood still, Mr Bourne waved play on (assistant may have been at fault as he did not put his flag up) even though he was close bye.

You’ve just answered your own question. How can the referee be expected to give a decision there?

Seems to have been interesting at Sunderland-no idea what the referee's performance was like-incident in tunnel at half-time according to Oxford's manager who finished being banished to the stands!
Any body there to confirm events?

I'd forgotten how unimpressive Mr Sarginson can be, but a painful reminder this afternoon.

I know Rob Lewis refereed Tranmere about three weeks ago, but there's no real reason why he couldn't have gone to Prenton Park instead of shuffling Sarginson about.
