We only had James Adcock just over a month ago (17th September) and he was less than impressive. I see that the appointments are still not being shared around properly, even below the Championship.

It was at half time and it looked like Nigel Lugg as the replacement.

James Adcock's bad luck with injuries continues. I was at the game and I thought he had a very good first half. He wasn't noticeably struggling but at half time I noticed Timothy Wood (the fourth official) warming up. Nigel Lugg took over the whistle, with James doing the boards. Considering he probably doesn't do many middles I thought Nigel Lugg did well, although Coventry fans were upset that he didn't give a couple of hand-balls (one was definitely chest, the other I'm not sure). It wasn't a difficult game to referee with both teams trying to play football.

Morecambe FC (First Team) v Northampton Town FC (First Team)
Football League 2
Referee:  Coy, Martin
Assistant Referee:  Byrne, Helen
Assistant Referee:  Woodward, Daniel
Fourth Official:  Newhouse, Paul

Helen got taken out by one of the Morecambe players in the first half but carried on.  (I just re-read that and I won't change it, but you know what I meant)  ;D
Daniel pulled up second half and was replaced by Paul.
I was prepped, ready and being 'volunteered' by our lot but the call didn't come as Daniel took over the board duties...  :(
(It wouldn't have mattered about the four pre-match pints of Lancashire bitter would it?)  ;)

Oh my, I hope she is ok, bless her!

It was quite early in the first half and she continued for the remainder of the game and didn't look to be carrying however she wouldn't really know how serious probably until the following day.
It looked purely accidental but it was a clatter though.  She was directly in front of us, I'm not sure but I think she may have gone into the advertising boards as well.

Correct me if I am wrong but it doesn't look like either of them have an appointment this coming weekend.
Although they may have already been a planned break.

It is an international weekend for the women and I believe she is one of our FIFA assistants so she might be somewhere around Europe on the line!

I hesitate to mention that Charles Breakspear issued another red card in the Southend v Accrington game, suffice to say that brief highlights on Quest suggested that the card was entirely justified, as is normally the case with Charles.

Exeter manage not happy with Bret Huxtable's decisions. Should he be making his views public though? I believe this is not the first time Exeter have shown a dislike to Devon referee Bret Huxtable's refereeing.

He must be terribly unlucky with his appointments given that all his red cards are "entirely justified" and he manages about 3 times the average. Perhaps his general style of refereeing leads to more incidents where he can show his red card. I've always thought of him as a well below average official who courts controversy rather than seeks to manage a game unobtrusively.

The brief highlights you mention only showed one of the two yellow cards he showed Ralph so there is no way that you can say it was any more than 50% justified !

I think his comments are very fair and reasonable, especially compared to what some other managers come out with.
