Sarginson with his circle red card out inside 14mins....
Why do some have circular red cards?

Some referees prefer to have the cards a different shape to prevent them accidentally pulling the wrong one out.

The oval red was introuced to ensure a red could never be issued instead of a yellow when a ref just "felt for them"
Some have continued using them

2 interesting decisions at Ipswich - penalty I thought was correct, although given it was the left foot that was caught was somewhat surprised that referee waited for assistant referee to give it
Ipswich "goal" - no good enough angle to confirm or deny - all I will say is it never entered my mind in first viewing that it had gone out of play

Peterborough also had a clear cut penalty awarded at Portman Road last season following a lengthy delay while Andy Woolmer was waiting for the assistant to flag.  As for the "goal", the asistant would certainly have been in line but his view may have been obstructured by Chambers.  If that was over the line it must have been very close.

Didn’t do a lot for Phil Dowd who was the biggest faffer getting his cards out whether red, yellow, rectangle, oval, Mickey Mouse shape or amphibious landing craft shape

As prescience goes, that would be unexceptional.

Now if he were to say he'd have a cardless match resulting in two consecutive cardless matches for the first time in FOURTEEN YEARS and it turned out true, I would be impressed.

An early red card given by Breakspear at Portman Road for a shocking challenge.

Another comeback on the cards for James Adcock at Stevenage.
James Adcock was replaced by Paul Howard at Stevenage
