Gavin Ward is still Fourth Official at The Emitates
Sorry I'm just blind and he looks different as well

Also well done to Andre Marriner for getting Chris Kavanagh to change his decision as in real time I could defo see how he had originally seen it as a red card but glad it was overturned for both as an arsenal fan and as a referee

I also thought a good intervention at Burnley, picking up the foul before the red card

It must have been one of the easiest afternoons Michael Oliver has ever had at the top level. To be fair, he obviously treated it as he would any other game and produced the yellow card when it was needed, albeit a bit reluctantly. Well done to both sides on producing an entertaining spectacle for the TV audience and those lucky enough to live round the perimeters of the ground. But galling to think that at the final whistle, the Marine players were bidding a long farewell to the game that they clearly love, the Leagues at their level being suspended for the foreseeable future. I wish them well for the future.

And a clean sheet from the card shark this evening.... a routine game for him.

BT apparently gave up apologising for the foul language which could be heard during the Boreham Wood v Millwall game, mainly from the home team and dugout, and it was suggested that Benjamin Speedie 'just seemed to lap it up', which may or may not be true.

A quaint penalty award from Oliver Langford at the end of the Barnsley v Tranmere tie, with nobody asking for a penalty as a Barnsley player went to ground and players on both sides looking mystified when the penalty was awarded. Fortunately, the resulting goal was 'icing on the cake' (2-0) and quickly forgotten, which it would not have been had the score been 0-0 at the time.
