Barrott and Speedie must have impressed during their first season on the EFL.

I know Ben Speedie personally  an have worked with him just when he got his 2A season before last. Brilliant ref is an understatement can see him being SG2 next couple of seasons and SG1 in the next few years

Major outbreak at Sheffield Wednesday, with caretaker manager Neil Thompson and both of his temporary assistants all self isolating and missing the trip to Exeter.  Players affected as well but they haven't announced which ones yet.

Suspect there going to be a lot of games off this weekend, or potentially development squads playing just to get the game played.

I mentioned a few days that there was no time to postpone games as there are few free dates particularly for PL clubs in Europe. Clubs will be forced to play with youth/scratch sides just to play the game.
The FA should do what they did with the earlier rounds and the EFL cup in September and do walkovers for clubs who are affected and give the affected clubs compensation

Good help by Rob Atkin @ Chorley that got Mr Friend out of a hole. Great tackle by goalkeeper.
"Nice" to see yellow card awarded for handball on goal bound effort that does not prevent the goal (ball was already over line but Kevin would not have known that)

Having seen Chorley goal a little lack of awareness from Rob Merchant not to follow GK out, who became 2nd last defender. In a non VAR game benefit of doubt to attacker, so good goal

Nice? Surely, seen as though the ball was well over the line, the correct term is “wrong”?

I didn't realise that Oldham vs Bournemouth switched to the south coast due to a frozen pitch at Boundary Park.  Instead of being at Southampton I note that Steven Meredith and Darren England could stick to their plans to travel south.

Gavin Ward has been replaced as fourth official at Arsenal by I think John Brooks

I didn’t take any notice whatsoever until the caption showed that the Derby player had received a caution.
Friend was looking right at it and his assistant would have seen the ball was well over the line before it was handled.
Having (rightfully) praised the communication at the other end just moments before, I’m surprised you’ve described a player incorrectly receiving a yellow card as nice to see.
