I don't think Taylor reffed the final well with a 2nd yellow given for a small challenge(arsenal player rolling around in agony as though its really hurt him!!!!!)Taylor was going to book the arsenal player for a dive this then made arsenal players surrounded Taylor it then made him give a 2nd yellow very poor but then i thought they banned this part of surrounding the ref due to distancing?
if Taylor was unsure about giving 2nd yellow and being under pressure from arsenal players he could have got help from Attwell and looked at monitor?
arsenal keeper did go outside his area and surprised it was not brought to var
a poor final which arsenal won due to cheating
Agree the 2nd yellow was a poor decision but at no time did he look like he was going to book the Arsenal player. Both teams did their fair share of play acting, rolling about the floor, going down like they had been shot, it wasn't just Arsenal. Both teams were shameful in that respect. Would you be prepared to stand up in a court of law & call them cheats? If not then do not do so on here, it could be seen to be a libellous comment.
VAR cannot intervene, nor can can he ask them to for a decision re a 2nd yellow card, only for a straight red.
The Arsenal keeper did go out of the box, he's allowed to, as long as he doesn't carry the ball out with him & the replays clearly show that the ball did not leave the box at any point. It was a correct call. It is also another call that is not within the remit for VAR. It would not have been a red card or a penalty so they cannot intervene. He called it right so there was no need anyway.
Arsenal won because they scored 1 more goal, no more no less. The red card was a wrong game changing call, in my opinion and probably contributed to the result as Chelsea were disadvantaged by being a man down. The penalty was correct, the decision to chalk off an Arsenal goal for offside was correct, 2 big decisions that were correct. Arsenals winner was a beauty of a goal.
