Peter Wright. My first impression was WHO!, but have read a few things since and seems to be one who is going about his buisness well.

Is there really any need to have Seb Stockbridge refereeing at 2pm on Sunday after being fourth official until 10pm on Saturday night? It makes no sense.

I saw him at Exeter a couple of weeks ago and provided my opinion. Was yours similar?

According to BBC, Ben Toner replaced Neil Hair at Shrewsbury on Sunday.  He had already reffed at Halifax the day before!

It was Neil Hair. Ben Toner refereed Shrewsbury’s first round game, so there has been a mix-up somewhere.

A quick return to Sunderland for Michael Salisbury. He was there just 2-3 weeks ago for a L1 game. Thomas Bramall in charge of the other Mersey derby  ;D

Oh Acne your geography’s a bit out there. Southport is on the Ribble estuary and, although administratively in Merseyside, it’s residents consider themselves well and truly Lancastrians

If we’re being pedantic then Wirral was historically part of Cheshire not Merseyside and Rovers v Chester is our derby.

Children, children, behave yourselves or it's the naughty step for some of you  ;D

My days of squeezing zits until they burst are long gone!

22.6 miles or 48 minutes between the two towns via the A565 or 23.7 miles via the coast road. That makes it a local derby in my humble estimation. And as an adopted Man of Cheshire, I'm going to stick with that, so there!  :P

AT, does your admonition and threat of the naughty step apply to me? If so then may the bottom step be designated as my naughty step please? Seems appropriate for an Ipswich Town supporter at the moment.  :-\

I am pleased to see you coming out as as a proud and adopted son of the County Palatine of Chester
