No appointments made today? A tad surprising

Premier league fixture tonight…. Will be tomorrow.

Also there is a replay still to be played.

Appointments out slightly early but with no VAR officials.

Tierney with the big Friday night game.

Josh Smith with a live tv game involving a premier league side.

Coote for us on the South Coast.

Good appointment for Tierney.

Salisbury for us…. He hasn’t set the world alight thus far IMO but he should be given time like Hooper to get his bearings.

Decent game for Smith, could be a trial PL match soon? Ward with a PL team too.

The card shark with the all League 1 affair.

Manchester United with their usual live tv match.

Personally, it’s very boring that virtually every match they play in the cup seems to have the devine rights to be televised.

Personally it's very boring where they choose to televise all PL affairs at this stage, surely people want to see potential giant killings or lower league teams for a change?

Indeed, Walsall are not happy at all that their game v Leicester was overlooked for main live BBC/ITV showing, although it is on the BBC red button coverage. The very similar looking Gillingham v Leicester match was chosen from a pool of 32 games in round 3 and Man Utd v Reading has zero interest for any neutral yet has been picked ahead of it in round 4.

Walsall do get Gavin Ward for his first game there for almost 7 years, so every cloud and all that ! :-X

I know I was talking to a couple of my United friends at work and they are fuming with an 8pm KO against a championship side.
Didn’t england have United in round 3? Very poor appointing considering the pool of referees available.
Good game for Bramall on Monday.

Nothing for Oliver and Taylor again in this round (I know Taylor is away)

Quite refreshing to see 9 of the 16 ties going to non SG1 referees with the F A not falling into the usual rut of giving most if not all games from R4 onwards to SG1 refs.
Having said that how on earth does Gavin Ward get one of them ??? 😳😱

We are really looking forward to the tie.

For the first time since it's inception Sunderland are going to be involved in a game with VAR.

Plus Sunderland have sold out the entire Putney End as well so that’s gonna be noisy!

Surprised Pawson has a game as he is flying out for the UEFA Seminar, which starts in the first. Probably flies from Heathrow after the game.
