Drysdale is a good shout. I believe he has been on the List for a long time, Upton confirms since 2004, and if he hasn't already had the honour must be in with a good chance. According to Upton Boyeseon joined the List in 2002 which I think must make him the longest serving referee inheriting that accolade from Mike Jones.

If we are talking about PL refs (Mike Jones) as well as NL refs, then Mike Dean (1997) must be the longest serving of the top flight refs. However I am not suggesting for a moment that the authorities will appoint him to oversee Bury v Bristol Rovers in the Final, will they?!
