Toner I expect for the Final or perhaps Whitestone?

Considering Whitestone is head and shoulders above most of the NG that would be a good appointment.
Classy Official is Whitestone - calm, composed and incredibly fit. Why he hasn't been promoted to SG2 yet is beyond me? However, his occupation maybe the reason for this, is anyone able to shed any light.

He has a specialist position in the Met, not the sort of role that comes up often & the general assumption is that he has chosen to remain in it as opposed to climb the referee ladder further.

Absolutely spot on. Bit like Paul Taylor all those years ago, Dean has decided to stick to his job rather than take a risk at SG2. Though from someone who came from that background I wonder why he doesn't have a go, certainly good enough!!

I think he is possibly the one & only ref that everyone on this site actually agrees on, which is a minor miracle & says a lot about his refereeing.  I can understand his decision to concentrate primarily on his Met role though, my view is that he is probably as good a copper as he is a referee and brings a lot to the Met, whilst gaining a lot of satisfaction from it as well.

So the dream Final - Portsmouth v Sunderland - and a fairly full house assured I would assume.
