Good to see Adcock have a game.

I wonder if we'll see Bobby Madley's return in the early September fixtures?

Glad to see James Adcock have a game in this set of appointments, fingers crossed he can have a good run of games this season without his injuries making a return!

Also a first game of the season for Backhouse. He must be disappointed not to achieve SG2 after a trial match, but I'm sure his time will come. He was always excellent at Gateshead back in his days on the National League.

Michael Salisbury I agree with, but the other two is a farce ..... Doughty has had 1 season and Josh Smith is out of shape and a poor referee.

aJosh Smith is out of shape and a poor referee.

If that’s your criteria then most of the SG2 wouldn’t be where they are!

So we know certain refs who are continuing this season - are there any indications of who might have come off?

No Bobby Madley in these appointments. Do we know of any pre-season friendlies he's done?

newly promoted ref on the boards at Brentford live on Sky, would this be the case if fans allowed in ..... surely not.

A good set of appointments with only the newest members of SG2 appointed from either select group. Confirmation of Haines, Salisbury Snr, Kettle and Boyeson of the more senior members to continue - I wouldn't be surprised if nobody retired this year as you would hate your career to be cur short such was last season. And no sign of Bobby Madley - I wonder if he is still returning?

In terms of the appointments, Yates, Wright and Breakspear with the live Sky games - the former aren't names usually given live games when the rare occasions occur in lower leagues and in the case of the latter it is an all Championship affair following on from a League 2 Play Off Semi last season. Edwards and Busby the only other refs to be given all Championship affairs outside SG2, again a sign that they had a decent 2019/20.

Also happy with Thomas Bramall for our match with Hull - nice to see him start the season on time after missing much of last year through injury!
