Like all things new, it will take a little while to get used to but it seems similar enough to the old RTR to make it fairly straightforward.  Registration was easy and I like the layout and particularly the ability to record 'likes' of others posts which should save quite a few posts simply to record our agreement with someone else.  So far, so good.

I am now quite conversant with the new site and I like it a lot. Far, far better than the tapatalk one. This site is instinctively straightforward to use, the real test of how good it is.

Well done and thank you to all the Mods and others who worked so very hard to bring about this welcome change. We are indebted to you

Very happy with the new forum. It's simple to use, easy to understand. One thing I haven't found is a facility to edit posts... unless I'm being less than observant on the screen!

That might be due to a change in settings because you were a veteran on the old forum. I'll set up a seperate members group on here for those who were in the veterans group at the old home, add those members to it & give the increased facilities back to you all over the next day or 2.  It's doesn't say edit here, it says modify & is on the top right hand side of a post next to quote, on my screen anyway!

Agree with comments above, much better layout and interface than Tapatalk. Just hope all the members transfer over soon.

Apologies for double post, there is no modify facility available for me either bmb. In the top right where you say it should be, I only have the quote option.

Yes, very happy with the new site; easy to navigate and very similar to the old site.

However, I too have a problem with the 'edit' function; only 'quote' appears in the far right of the screen , no reference to modify, remove or anything else. Can you please advise me ?.  Edit is a valuable function to correct errors after posting and to alter PAR predictions when necessary.

Many thanks to all admin for your considerable efforts in bringing this new site to fruition !!.

****** Thank you, I now have the 'modify' option on screen ******

I *think* I have ticked the right box - can you check if you can modify yet please?

Quite a separate issue: when I go onto an ongoing topic or a topic I have seen and there are new posts, how do I make it so it loads the topics from the unread posts rather than having to go through the topics again and again?

Click on the word new and it will take you to the first new post. I've not found anything in the admin area to get it to open at that point automatically but I discovered yesterday after getting sick of scrolling through 20 posts to find the new ones that just clicking the word new takes you directly to them!

Another trick - as quoting or using the quick reply does not show the emojis if you click on preview then it takes you to the full reply view and you can use the emojis! I was posting and then editing to use them until I found that one out! Clicking on the big smiley face under the standard emojis brings up better ones as well. I've not worked out yet how to get custom ones added but will keep looking!

Also if you are viewing the board and one of the forum icons has the word new if you click on that it will bring you up a list of the new topics or topics with new posts since your last visit in that forum.

[ Guests cannot view attachments ]

Works the same for sub forums where you see the word new after them in full board view.

[ Guests cannot view attachments ]

Once it loads the list of topics then click the word new again for the topic & it takes you to the last post.

Hope that helps

Hi all,

Firstly, well done. This is great, MUCH better than Tapatalk!! Appreciate all the hard work and effort put in by the Mods, Admins and anybody else who helped out.

Just one query from me, on the old site you used to be able to jump to the latest post in any discussion. This saved having to re-read posts each time. I have checked through the settings but cannot seem to find this (other than opting for most recent post at the top).

Any help will be greatly appreciated.
