Funny how the mother mentioned the son was autistic AFTER the papers picked up the incident.
What are the parents of autistic children meant to do - wear a T-shirt saying my child is autistic or perhaps have it tattooed on the child's forehead once they get formally diagnosed? Maybe she could have taken out an advert in the program - "I'm here tonight with an autistic child - here's a photo of us so you know what he looks like". Why on earth would she be mentioning it to the press or anyone else BEFORE Ronaldo's disgraceful conduct? I ask simply as the mother of a child who was diagnosed as autistic at the age of 16 months old...
Of course they shouldn't, but it has nothing to do with this. It was the parent has created a story BECAUSE her son has autism and was the one who brought it up. We know the media love a story, particularly if one involves a famous footballer. If the son wasn't autistic would the story have created as much coverage? Of course it wouldn't.
Why can't the parent accept the apology and the offer a new phone - why do they think they deserve more than that?
EDIT- in response to Jack Samuel as I don't know how to quote two separate posts.
Why should he be banned? Of course he can be criticised. But what gives people the right to stick a phone in someone's face like that - celebrity or not. I wouldn't like it!
All he has done is knock a phone out of a kid's hand. Are people on here really saying that they haven't done something to someone in the heat of a moment? I would say everyone has
